Breve storia del Duomo La Cattedrale di Pozzuoli, costruita sulla sommità del Rione Terra, racchiude in sé una perfetta sintesi della storia di Pozzuoli. Sorse in epoca greca o sannitica come Capitolium della città, fatto erigere da un ricco mercante romano, Lucio Calpurnio, in onore dell'imperatore Ottaviano Augusto sui resti di un precedente tempio risalente al 194 a.C. Nel 1636 il Vescovo Martin de Leo'n y Cardenas fece ricostruire il Duomo inglobando una parte del tempio romano. L'opera fu completata nel 1647. Nel 1964 fu distrutto da un incendio. Nel 1970 il Rione Terra fu fatto sgomberare in seguito ad uno sciame sismico. Con il terremoto del 1980 anche il Vescovo fu costretto ad abbandonare la diocesi. Solo nel 2003 la Regione Campania bandì un concorso per la ricostruzione della Cattedrale. Il Restauro del progetto fu affidato all'architetto Marco Dezzi Bardeschi e il suo gruppo. L' 11 maggio 2014 è stata inaugurata la nuova Cattedrale con il nome "Tempio e Duomo".

The acrylic of older hatches is typically crazed by exposure to UV. Few vendors are willing to replace the lens at less than 70 percent of the price of a new hatch. This is a short film that shows our year with White Magic, a Jeanneau Sun Fast 32i sailing yacht. The story began at the start of the year when we sold our old boat, Muskrat Ramble, and Benneteau First 32s5 and where on the look out for something to replace her. We had come across White Magic 18 months before so already knew what she was like… so after a couple of viewings and much negotiating we finally bought her in April 2014 We used her most weekends. Sometimes just going for a sail, other times racing her on the river, occasionally spending a weekend at anchor somewhere and when we could venturing off on holiday in her. There are glimpses of all these adventures on this clip but we will upload some more films over the coming weeks showing you more of these adventures. Please let us know what you think.
