In August/September 2014, the Holiday Oceanview Marina on Samal Island near Davao City, Mindanao, Philippines acted as host for the third year for the Philippine to Indonesia Yacht Rally, this year dubbed Sail Sangihe, along with the Indonesian counterpart, ASWINDO, an Indo non-profit organization promoting yacht tourism, About 18 boats came from many areas to join this rally. On top of our usual busy social activities in the marina, like weekly potluck BBQ, game nights, cinema nights, …the Holiday Oceanview Marina management treated us with many events and services. This year, as last, they offered 2 weeks free berthing, complimentary extra provisioning trips with their van, and complimentary bus to rally festivities, like a field trip to Eden Nature Park, Vikings Restaurant, and the Kadayawan Festival, a Crazy Game Day, and BBQ buffet Dinner. The yachties organized 2 nautical flea markets and conference sessions about Indonesia and Philippines. They hosted a great Kick-off party for the rally, after the Briefing session given by Dr. Aji Sularso , President of the ASWINDO association. The evening featured a copious buffet, colorful cultural dance performances, presentation of souvenir sacks, and beautiful commemorative plaques for each boat. Kick-Off day looked pretty calm in the marina, because you can't film when you are throwing lines to cast off. But Jackie did manage a little jig for the Kick Off chase boat as we sailed by for our photo. We would like to thank the Bangayan family, owners of Oceanview, and Kjartan, manager, and Cheene, office gal, and all the rally participants. We also thank Dr. Aji Sularso of ASWINDO assoc. as Indonesian Liason, and Indonesian Sponsor for the Rally participants.
About 18 yachts were welcomed to Sangihe Island, in Sept. 2014, for the Festival Sangihe, a festival for the islanders and for the visiting sailboats participating in the Sail Sangihe yacht rally. The “Yachties” were treated like honored guests and celebrities. The first evening we were seated on stage for the opening program which included line dancing, a Sangihe favorite. A govt Coast Guard boat took us to a village, which welcomed us with a “brass” band, which was unique because all the instruments are made from a bamboo that grows only on Sangihe. Great lunches made by the locals and traditional demonstrations were the highlight of the Festival. We met the daughter of the Last Raja of Sangihe, saw the production of the original food staple, Sagu (sago) and witnessed the breaking of the Indonesian official record for the most number of different dishes made with sagu. 259. A renowned Indonesian Chef from Jakarta gave a wonderful culinary demonstration and we also enjoyed a lot of natural beauty around the island: beaches, waterfalls, and watching paragliders float off into the sunset from a breathtaking viewpoint. Thanks to all the Festival Sangihe Organizers and the Vice Regent and all govt officials that helped us, especially Mr. Jeffry, Head of Tourism, and Mr. Humphry of ASWINDO.
The NS14 is an Australian designed sailing dinghy, intended for competitive family sailing. It has a simple rig, is light enough to be lifted from a trailer (fully rigged) into the water by 3 persons of average strength, requires only reasonable fitness to sail, and is affordable by the private sailor.

This is a short, and rather dodgy film depicting the start of the New Years day race at wilsonian's sailing club on the River Medway. It does rather focus on my husband Ian, in Blaze 807, but you do get to see a little of the club and its racing. "Music: http://www.purple-planet.com"

This video isn't about New Orleans. It's not even about New Years Eve. It's more about us and the way we travel without making solid plans. Call it Happenstance, Serendipity, Chance, Luck, Fate, Destiny...whatever you want to call it we think it's the only way to travel. And don't worry about us Drinking and Driving, we only had 4 drinks in an 8 hour period with lots of walking and eating. If we were unsafe about anything it would likely be driving while tired. Read the full story on our website: http://www.gonewiththewynns.com/new-years-eve-in-new-orleans We captured this entire video on a sony point and shoot camera, it's the first one we've done with this camera so it serves as a "test". Sure the audio isn't perfect, but I think it's going to make a fine little addition to our camera gear (you can see all our gear here: www.gonewiththewynns.com/hd-video-secrets). music in order of play "Going to" by Jahzzar (http://www.betterwithmusic.com) "Silver" by Jahzzar (http://www.betterwithmusic.com) "biznezz" by Jahzzar (http://www.betterwithmusic.com) "Type_your_name_here_short" by Jahzzar (http://www.betterwithmusic.com) See all our Filming and Editing gear here: http://www.gonewiththewynns.com/hd-video-secrets Filmed on: Sony RX100III Editing: MSI GS70-096 Crimson Adobe Premiere 6 Magic Bullet Looks © Gone With the Wynns 2015

During our stay at Big Bend National Park, Texas Avid Outdoors as well as the rest of the campers in the Chisos Basin experienced a thermal inversion and ice fog. While fog is a relatively normal weather condition in Big Bend, ice fog, while common in Alaska is not a common sight in Big Bend.

Wind on the nose, dense fog or rough seas. The last 2/3s of this video are more entertaining then the first 1/3. You will see dolphins, birds, fog, sunsets, ICW, and some good sailing. There was one section of the trip that we said 30 hours straight across the Gulf of Mexico from Apalachicola to Clear water, Fl This entire video was filmed with my cell phone. To use this video in a commercial player or in broadcasts, please email licensing@storyful.com Thought we'd do something a little different this New Years Eve, so we flew our new "MARINER" Waterproof DRONE through the Fireworks display in Philipsburg Bay, St Maarten in the CARIBBEAN! Was a bit of a risky venture, but we looked for the best fireworks on the island that would be shot over the ocean so we could launch from the boat, and if our "MARINER" Drone took a hit it would not fall over any land or crowds... Took us 3 launch attempts from our dinghy in the pitch dark to get it up and filming properly from beside the fireworks launch barge you can see in the first scenes of the video. We filmed the entire video with the "MARINER" Waterproof Drone and our newest GoPro Hero4 sport camera... the sunset shots at the beginning are filmed in Raw 4K resolution, but we filmed the fireworks in 1080p 120fps to enable smooth slow motion, and then processed the entire video in 1080p 30fps. You'll see more 4K video coming soon from AmbientRealLife, so keep an eye out! :) PS... Don't forget, if you like the video, PLEASE SHARE it so your friends and family can enjoy it also!! :) For information on the new "MARINER Waterproof Drone, email us at info@LandAndSeaVideo.com and visit http://www.AmbientRealLife.com where you'll be able to purchase them soon in our online store!
