This is my S2 11.0 sailboat. 36 feet sold fiberglass hull.
This was just a short 3 day trip. Had wind and current on the nose most of the time.
I have always wanted to have a push button electric head on my sailboat. My guests don't like or know how to pump the head no matter how many times I try to explain how. They just don't get it. Prior to doing this project I flushed out the holding tank with freshwater around 5 times.
Sailing off of Ft Myers Beach Florida. Lake Okeechobee was emptying into the Caloosahatchee River in full force.
My boat came with a broken lifeline stanchion. In this video I show how I was able to make a replacement. I could not find any replacements to purchase that would fit my application.
First step in the process of switching all lights on the boat to LED Subscribe and comment.

First sailing trip of the year after being on the hard for hurricane season.
I first got into sailing in 2008 here is a tour of my first liveaboard sailboat Its a 1979 hunter 30. The video quality is pretty bad. I think this was made with an old blackberry phone.
This is the last week of work on the hard. Hurricane season is just about over and its time to go sailing.
For this boat project I'm replacing the stuffing box, cutlass bearing, getting my prop shaft and propeller reconditioned and all put back together. https://www.instagram.com/downintheislands/
I have been seeing some rust and tinny cracks on my back stay lower swage. I had the mast pulled and the rigging sent out to have new rigging made. When the rigging gets back I will make another video on how to reinstall the mast and rigging. https://www.instagram.com/downintheislands/
Getting everything bolted back together. This is a pathfinder marine 50 diesel engine. https://www.instagram.com/downintheislands/
I'm back home in my shop and making the plates for the new motor mounts. https://www.instagram.com/downintheislands/
The 36 foot S2 center cockpit sailboat has a very hard to reach bilge area. It has an encapsulated keel which is good and bad. the last foot of the keel is hollow and about 3 feet deep. The bilge and float switch need to be on a piece of wood coated in epoxy fitted down in the hole, And the hole is directly under the engine. https://www.instagram.com/downintheislands/
I was getting some noise from my damper plate and knew it was time to change it. It wasn't an easy job because the entire bell housing and motor mounts had to come off to get to it. At the end of May 2015 I sailed the boat with my mom about 80 miles to a boat yard where she will be in storage until hurricane season is over. It was a great 3 day trip.
I had to leave my boat longer than I would have liked. I returned after being away for over 3 months. The plan is to sail it a short ways to the boat yard where it will be out of the water for hurricane season. This is part one of my trip. https://www.instagram.com/downintheislands/
This boat is great for fishing, pitching a tent on the bow and camping out. Dance party?
