E18 Weekly Blog of our Narrowboat Travels. We traveled down the River Nene for a few days, heading towards Peterborough and then back again to Northampton. We met up with the local hawk trainer who keeps the pests away from the lock. A couple of ale tastings at the lovely Britannia Pub with a welcoming mooring just outside. Enjoyed the breathtaking country scenery. Tackled the guillotine locks of the Nene. We moored against a few trees too. A bit of bush upholstery fixing Wendy's chair in a field of nettles! Found a 10/10 beer. The Mavic Pro took some wonderful aerial footage of the River Nene with its many winding pathways. Keep an eye out for next week's episode.
