Episode 29. St Lucia to The Grenadines, The start of our Caribbean adventure. Here’s some advice for all those budding bloggers… make sure to regularly check your footage! We are so far behind on uploading our vlogs that by the time we edit it’s far too late to do anything about our audio issues. The echo and bassiness is caused by a wind muff covering one of the mic holes on the top of our camera. It even causes the clicking noise which is the auto focus of the camera that’s normally not audible. As ever…. Apologies. We discuss Gone with the Wind's Solar System. On an electric sailboat, power is important. We currently supply our power needs via solar energy and multiple battery banks. We decided our older eight 100 watt panels aren't going to support our power demands and upgrade them. Our choice of solar panel is the Panasonic N325 HIT 325watt Monocrystalline. We purchased four panels online from Northern Arizona Wind & Sun. After installation and some tech support from NAWS we decide to upgrade our Outback charge controller to the Midnite Solar Classic 150. Ahoy from the Åland Islands... I am uploading this from the island Kökar in the small harbor of Sandvik. On this episode I continue my birthday weekend with my brother Colby. We do two dives in the day time and one at night and I spend some time exploring Avalon. On our second dive Colby took me to 100 ft, my first dive at this depth and we saw giant kelp that looked more at home in jurassic times than our modern day. On our night dive the visibility was not as great as the night before but it didn't stop us from seeing tons of amazing creatures while Jimmy Shannon led the way. We left Barcelona behind and headed towards Gibraltar, sailing under light winds. But although we thought it would be an uneventfull trip, it turned out very emotional with a lot going on. We have never seen that much marine life in such a short period of time. We also had fresh fish caught under way and in what seemed a short time, we where making landfall in Gibraltar. The whole experience was awesome. Sailing a cat for the first time in open waters and beeing part of a diferent crew, gave us a lot more life baggage for further adventures. Halten Sie den Knopf am Griff gedrückt, um die Kurbel festzustellen. Sie können mit ihr genau wie bei Ihrer normalen Winschkurbel auch komplette Umdrehungen ausführen, nur besser. Und wenn die Winsch nur noch sehr schwer zu bedienen ist, können Sie sie auch als Ratsche nutzen. • Kombi-Betrieb für extrem schnelle Winscharbeit. Er ist komplett intuitiv - Sie drücken den Knopf zur Aktivierung des Elektroantriebs und drehen gleichzeitig die Kurbel. Die göttliche Schlucht in den Picos de Europa, Ausflug vom Camino lebaniego y vadiniense nach Caín, Wanderung durch die Cares-Schlucht und weiter auf dem Jakobsweg.
