Our East of Flores trip has some incredible dives spots. Some of them like Anemone City, Watubalu, or Beangabang are in this short movie. East of Flores is a really interesting trip. What an event the 2018 Oyster Palma Regatta was! Held between 30th September and 4th October, the 41st edition of our famous sailing regatta saw 27 Oyster yachts take to the water in near-perfect champagne sailing conditions. 2018 was a particularly special year for our own-name sailing event, as we joined the Sailors for the Sea Clean Regattas programme – the world's only sustainability certification for water-based events. We also fought to reduce the use of single-use plastics through collaboration with Cleanwave, with water refill stations on the docks. Almost all of our Oyster Owners and Crew shunned single-use plastic water bottles in favour of their refillable counterparts, also choosing to wash their yachts without soaps and harmful chemicals. The fifth episode of my Adventure to learn to ride a foil board! Last episode I managed to ride my foil board properly flat on the water. This time I am going to kite foil while actually flying the board above the water for the first time. It is very scary at first, you are suddenly high above the water and have a long way to come down when you crash. Nevertheless when you are kite foiling out of the water, even if it is only seconds, the feeling is amazing!! The spot is Foil Beach, Qatar. Right in the Middle East where I've lived for some time now. Amazing conditions for a big part of the year, let's say October until June! Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez is the elegant finale to the Mediterranean yachting season. In 2018, some 4,000 sailors and more than 300 modern, classic and Wally yachts competed in the week-long nautical festival. The Rolex Trophy went to 110-year-old Viola, a vintage boat that is the embodiment of traditional sailing. The 20th edition of the regatta was once again organized by the Société Nautique of Saint-Tropez, a Rolex partner since 2006.
