Hoje começa uma nova temporada, agora em meio à lama. Após o término da Vela Show, removi o barco do pavilhão de exposições e levei para a beira do rio em Navegantes, num estaleiro, onde vou passar as próximas semanas para finalizar o barco. O clima de improviso impera, mas tenho que ter paciência nesta hora, muitas coisas importantes ainda tem que ser feitas. Nesta primeira semana que passei na nova "casa" foi basicamente ajeitando as coisas minimamente para ser minha morada e preparando a oficina para as fainas de finalização do barco. Minha estratégia vai ser terminar o barco para ir para água boiar e fazer instalações mais demoradas a bardo mesmo, na âncora, como a hidráulica e elétrica. Vou deixar apenas o básico para o barco boiar em segurança e pretendo terminá-lo em outro lugar, longe da lama. Reviewing all the work being done to prep the boat and trailer for the trip from New Jersey to the Florida Keys Key Largo - Vaca Key area) for a 6 day sailing adventure on our boat. How do I record from HDMI source? In this video I wanted to find a way of being able to record video content from a ROKU 3 and a Chromecast to a Blackmagic Video Assist recorder with no HDCP Errors in 1080p resolution.Note this wont work for 4K My goal is to use the Roku3 to display video that is cast to it from an Android camera to connect to a vision mixer but the HDCP stops me from doing that. In this video I use an inexpensive 1 in 2 out splitter from Amazon, which DOES strip / bypass the HDCP content from the HDMI source. Perfect. We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, fifteen months after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. I installed all of the ballast tank longitudinal baffles and glassed them in and coated them once. I installed the battery box front as well as some of the forward cockpit locker cleats. Then I permanently installed BH3.

In this video, Jeff said the Diesel Duck 44 "SeaDuckTress" was built by Townsend Marine. This is wrong, it was the second Duck built by Seahorse Marine in China. She was single handed around the Pacific by the original owner ,David Katz, and sold in the PNW to her present owners. Some modifications by Townsend Marine including removal of the sail assist rig, which they later installed on "10+2" which is a Diesel Duck they did build. Jeff did a Saturday morning stroll, "dock walk and talk" on the final morning of the Seattle TrawlerFest in Bell Harbor Marina. It was a wonderful event (well, maybe “fantastic” is the better word since Jeff overuses it in his enthusiasm for sharing his view) and we had a ball. The weather was sunny, a bit crisp, but the new venue is in the thick of a vibrant waterfront area and we look forward to returning next year. Porto Alegre a Pelotas em um Veleiro... HISTÓRIA : 29 de Março 2019. Circuito TECON Porto Alegre – Pelotas Feita toda a preparação para a viagem soltamos as amarras no clube dos Jangadeiros por volta das 18pm. A regata teria início exatamente as 18:30pm e queríamos sentir um pouco o vento e o barco alguns minutos antes do sinal de largada. Neste momento era difícil não reparar no céu que se manifestava de uma forma única com suas cores vivas e nuvens que iam contrastando o visual com os mais variados tamanhos de veleiros e lanchas que acompanhavam a largada. Momentos de emoção, todos os barcos buscando uma melhor posição para ter o vento mais limpo e também um alinhamento perfeito com a primeira boia da regata. Não era o nosso objetivo brigar por posições na largada pois sabíamos que agente iria acelerar mesmo quando entrássemos na lagoa dos patos utilizando a força do vento cheio na lagoa a nosso favor. Foi assim que tudo começou, um céu maravilhoso já emocionava todos os velejadores e um ventinho moderado fazia os barcos deslizarem rumo a lagoa dos patos. Com o passar das horas as cores do por do sol deram lugar a escuridão da noite e as primeiras estrelas começavam a surgir. Era o inicio do show, estrelas misturadas com as luzes de navegação de cada barco e as cidades de porto alegre, Guaíba e arredores brilhavam ás margens do nosso rio. A medida que a noite ia entrando o vento soprava cada vez mais e após a passada de Itapuã no cotovelo entre o rio Guaíba e a Lagoa dos Patos, é que a coisa começa a ficar emocionante. Neste momento já com algum distanciamento entre as embarcações, ao sair do canal estreito de Itapuã, cada embarcação ia se alinhando e tomando seu rumo com mais independência pois a lagoa nos dava mais vento e pista para navegar livremente. Para mim uma sensação de êxtase tomava a cabeça, um sonho se realizando, jamais havia entrado na lagoa dos patos velejando e nas condições que estávamos era impossível não sentir euforia ao ver as velas cheias empurrando o barco a uma media de 7kts com rajadas e ondas que nos levavam ate 13kts de velocidade. As estrelas continuavam a se apresentar na abóboda celeste fazendo do céu cada vez mais um personagem vivo na aventura. Foi um festival de estrelas cadente durante a noite toda e no meio de tudo, rajadas faziam a alegria ou o temor dos navegantes, os barcos se adernavam quase 90 graus buscando o máximo desempenho das velas, mastros, cascos e timoneiros. Todos estavam levando seus barcos com extrema prudência, lidando alem do vento forte, as ondas que quebravam hora por bombordo hora pela popa. Por volta de 2am uma personagem dá as caras, a Lua crescente nasce e subitamente uma luz ilumina a lagoa trazendo aos nossos olhos a beleza surreal de sua forma. Era possível agora ver as vagas passeando pela lagoa, os barcos que antes eram apenas luzes brancas verdes e encarnadas se mexendo no escuro agora se tornam levemente iluminados e as estrelas mais fortes como nunca. Que momento! Com o vento “bombando” o timão passou do Tomas para mim e de mim para o Dodô ao longo da noite e assim sendo perto do amanhecer já com o vento mais fraco levantamos a vela Balão e esperamos o Sol nascer velejando com calma. O dia começou lindo e em poucas horas o sol se escondeu atras das nuvens o que favoreceu para termos mais conforto ao navegar. Com o decorrer das horas do dia o vento foi soprando cada vez mais fraco até que chegou no estagio em que estávamos andando a menos de 2kts de velocidade e então tudo ficou bem monótono. Hora do Descanso. Tomas e Dodô foram dormir na cabine enquanto Mica tinha o seu primeiro contato com o timão do Tuareg. Uma bela hora para poder sentir um barco Oceano nas mãos. Foi ótimo ter o Mica no leme enquanto eu cuidava das velas o melhor que podia para com o pouco vento que tinha agente continuar avante o mais rápido possível… Já estávamos realizados com a velejada, uma bela noite de ventos fortes e ondas surfadas a bordo de um veleiro, um silencio interior que parece poesia, só quem veleja entende. Apos algumas horas navegando quase que apenas com a correnteza os ventos retornam suavemente nos fazendo acelerar um pouco e entre pingos de chuva e um sol fraco que periodicamente aparecia fomos indo devagar e finalmente chegamos ao canal da feitoria por volta das 2pm com enorme euforia e alegria. Ao passar pela lancha de apoio na boia 84.
