Easy and tasty Spanish tapas you can make at home. This classic Spanish dish is very versatile and quick to whip up. Tapas are simply a part of life in Spain and they've gained popularity all around the world. Though they're considered Spain's version of appetizers, tapas are eaten any time—day or night. Everyone has their favorite tapas. With so many delectable varieties throughout Spain. The types and the way tapas are served are very much regionally dependent. Spanish "Tortilla" - the tortilla is a potato and egg open-faced omelet. It can be served hot or cold and is a fantastic way of using up all kinds of ingredients – simply add in any leftover vegetables, crumbled or grated cheese, jarred red peppers or peas, or cooked sausage. Salad "Mojar" from Murcia region - the cold salad with tuna, black olives, and tomatoes. You can also use it as a light dip for fresh-baked bread Anchoa & Iceberg - simple anchovy with crunchy fresh lettuce leaves, "Potato Cabanil" from the region of Cartagena and Murcia- fried potato with garlic and vinegar. Going out to eat tapas is such a big part of the culture that there is even a verb "tapear" which means "to eat tapas." In our winter destination, we met Miguel 86 years old man, who has his old wooden boat in the port of Cartagena and we enjoyed cooking authentic Spanish dishes with him. Fantastic recipes. We start our NEW ENGINE for the very first time! https://www.sailingnandji.com In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we hear the first breathes of our NEW Engine Fang. After running the final hoses and connecting the power, we fill up the engine with all the oils and liquids required before kicking Fang over for the first time. Lets hear this baby Purr! This was a monumental day for Nandji as all our hard work is really starting to take shape. Installing this new engine has been challenging but so very rewarding at the same time. We have never tackled a task this big before, in fact we had never installed an engine into anything before, so it was a huge task and a massive learning curve we have nearly completed. Wait til you hear this baby purr... Beautiful. Thank you to everyone who has watched our videos and contributed to our new engine. It is all because of you legends we have been able to install this brand new engine and re-power Nandji. With all this boat work being complete our vessel is becoming indestructible as we get her ready for our next big trip across the Indian Ocean. With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing around the Pacific! We have just sailed 2000nm through Indonesia and have arrived to the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the next big adventure. Jumping an early morning flight from Lisbon back to Elements, sitting in Terceira Azores, we arrive with just enough energy to climb on board and fall asleep....while still grumbling about the fact she was supposed to be hauled out of the water 10 weeks ago. The next morning they are able to make space for us in the work yard though, and Elements gets taken out of the water for the first time in nearly two years. We have a chance to see how our antifouling has held up. Back in Indiantown we applied Interlux Interprotect, and we can see once she's out of the water that it has wiped off almost back down to the base coat. We had planned on applying new antifouling during our haul out, but this time we'll be switching brands to something that hopefully works a little better for us. With Elements out of the water and sitting on stands, it's time to dive into projects so we can have her back in the water within a few weeks, planning our next leg north. Much love from The Azores! Hello! In this video we continue on our trip through British Columbia. We start in Lund and get the chance to the explore Desolation Sound before venturing further North.

In this video we start our first big cruise into foreign waters! We start in Anacortes and wind our way through the San Juan Islands, cross the border into Canada! Our first stops in Canada include Bedwell Harbor, Ganges, Pender Harbor, Blind Bay, and Lund! During this video we encounter our first real challenge in crossing the Strait of Georgia under windy conditions and we run into issues with our fridge.

The giant schooner Athos, with an overall length of 203 feet and a length over deck of 184 feet, was launched in 2010 at Holland Jachtbouw to considerable acclaim. The design was subject to tank tests with various keels and rudders on a 1:10 scale - an actual 19-foot model was used - as well as extensive wind tunnel tests. Thanks to these preparations, Athos has a graceful aero and hydrodynamic shape, with a deep-V hull, shallow draught keel and integrated centreboard configuration. After two different Diesel engine leaks, pulling up someone else’s anchor chain, fouling our prop with a huge fishing net, and getting an unidentifiable alarm, we wondered if the gods were against us.
