Finalement, on retourne voir le Corbin 39 qu'on a visité la semaine dernière. Le skeg affaibli qu'on vous avait montré nous amène quelques soupçons. Riley was looking for a Covid project while locked at home. A remote control blimp was the challenge! Using an old remote control car for parts, a fan motor, designing and 3D printing propellor blades, balsa wood, glue and more helium balloons than expected and RC flying blimp was built. Many modifications were required as well as buoyancy calculations...... did you know a helium balloon can only lift 14g at its very best? Some really clever thinking with regard to be able to steer the blimp - Riley used the concept of a boats bow thruster to steer it - smart.

With thanks to Andy Haslope and his family who agreed to RCSSC publishing this video and also RSC volunteer rescue crew - who keep an eye out for all us sailors and are quickly there to offer help and support if they think it might be needed or are called for by members. It's a fact that, sooner or later, if you are dinghy sailing, there's going to be a capsize. Which is why we all learn how to do capsize drill when learning sail, so when it does happen everyone on board knows what to do. So it was for Haslope family Mum, Dad and two children, out for a sail on a breezy day, who capsized and spent time in the water resolving some issues so they could right their boat and sail back in. Saturday 5 Sep 2020 just before mid-day the crew were on watch and spotted a capsize towards Hambleton Peninsula. A prompt responded to make sure all was well and offer help if required. I was on the veranda of the clubhouse, enjoying the scene of lots of people enjoying the sailing and beautiful Rutland Water and just happened to be shooting a short video for Rutland Civil Service Sailing Club Facebook page. Apologies for the quality - it was taken using my iPhone so distant zooms are not great, but it did capture the event. I met up with Andy and the family back in the club at lunch time and showed them the footage and which young George especially, really enjoyed. Thank you for agreeing to show this footage which demonstrates the benefit of learning sailing properly. Also, the good work of RSC Duty Rescue Crew - all volunteers who give up their time and opportunity to sail, to keep us safe. Thank you. Here she is folks! The New Another Adventure! She came into my world as a vessel in distress just like the old Another Adventure. I wouldn’t have it any other way! It breaks my heart to see boats lost to unfortunate situations like this and saving them is one of the things I live for! This one however is very special as she will be our future home and we will be putting her back together piece by piece over the next several years and taking you along for the ride! So after a lazy morning walk we left the Tidemill Marina and sailed back down river to the place called the rocks. We learn about the birds and bees in Borneo and where to put the lines when we remember how to Med moor for the first time in 10 years. After too many cocktails the night before in the best beach bar in Sabah at ‘Secret Place’, it was an early start to sail round the tip of Borneo and hook up with the rest of the Sail Malaysia rally boats in Kudat. A whistle-stop tour through that beautiful part of the island took in some amazing sights including local community artisans, a traditional Rungus long house, wild honey production, the secrets behind birds nest soup, lunch at a stunning home stay with the owner and a sunset where the seas meet at the tip of Borneo. Our final days in Turkey, Ryan does a ridiculous man overboard drill in 20 knots on our way to Datca to check out of the country to either Greece, Italy or Malta. In today's sailing vlog we make it to Cape Lookout in North Carolina from Beaufort after getting some provisions. Aside from our generator breaking one more time while living in a sailboat, we get caught in two different tropical storms where our anchor drags a couple of meters, and we get 55 knots of scary strong winds! Kitesurfing in this kitesports mecca, Leucate La Franqui, filmed with the GoPro Max in 360'. Last month we stayed at La Domaine Presqu'Ile De La Franqui with our friend Sjoerd, and had a blast kitesurfing, kitefoiling, swimming, birding, tanning and just generally relaxing and enjoying the superb surroundings. We had awesome weeks there and it made a world of difference for us to recover here from many months of extended lockdown followed by summer heat back home. This video is also the first that I filmed almost entirely on my new GoPro Max. I love the angles it can show and the possibilities the GoPro Max opens op. The video was edited by me into regular 16:9 format for easier viewing. I'm definitely going to use the GoPro Max for more actions sports soon! I'm pretty sure it's going to be a game changer for all those videos that will come out in the future where I am working on my kitefoiling skills or kitesurfing in some cool locations!! We drove further to explore the magnificent cliffs along the Atlantic coast of Portugal. The weather in Portugal was very hot and the water pleasantly cool. Being parked in one of the best places in Portugal we got to enjoy a lot of stunning sunsets. On the endless beaches we had some relaxing time for ourselves. We organised a learning day for the children by visiting the 'Zoo de Lagos' which we found to be a very beautiful and fun zoo. While on the road we discovered some ancient megaliths. We decided early that getting to know our new live aboard lifestyle would be easiest in a a place that let us stay close to a city and had a support structure - so here we are in Charleston! It checked all of the boxes for us: 1. The Charleston City Marina is just a mile from all of the fun and excitement of King St and Bay St. 2. Our broker's office is at the marina and he knows literally everyone. 3. Jes' parents were already planning on coming to Charleston, so they could bring anything that didn't fit in the car. This is a 50 minute slow paced yin yoga session aboard Polykandros in Bozborun, Turkey. The practices in this session nourish the whole body and will help you wind down, breathe and relax. You will need comfortable clothes, that you can freely move in, a yoga mat and a yoga bolster. If you don't have a bolster you can roll up a cushion, blanket or towel like I do in this session. If its cold where you are I recommend to have a cushion and blanket for the last pose, Shavasana, full resting pose. The video will stop, but I do recommend you stay on your mat for 5-10 minutes after the practice lying on your back or on your side to allow your body to integrate the movements and allow it to rest for a short period. Please never do any poses that are not accessible for your body or cause you pain. We can sometimes experience a bit of discomfort, but its one thing we have learn when practicing yoga to make a difference between discomfort and pain. If you like to use essential oils for your practice I recommend the doTERRA Balance blend under your feet and if it resonates over belly and heart and have a deep inhale from the bottle.
