We have arrived to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, we take our PCR-tests and stay in quarantine on the boat until we get the test results. Once free we do some snorkeling, visit Fort Duvernette before we sail down to Bequia and then continue to sail in the Grenadines. Sit back and relax as we take you on a delightful bush walk up to the Hill Inlet lookout. Hill Inlet is at the northern end of Whitsunday Island and the view of Whitehaven Beach and the Inlet is absolutely breathtaking. So, it’s no surprise that Whitehaven Beach is often described as one of the best beaches in the world. After admiring the view and taking in the beautiful flora and fauna on the track, we head back to Nutshell. It’s time to begin to make our way back to Airlie Beach and the end of our two weeks sailing in the Whitsundays, but first we must head through Unsafe Passage which sits between Hayman Island and Hook Island. It’s a difficult passage with strong current and close rocks and reef. It’s another technical passage to manoeuvre through. With the tide against us, but the winding our favour, We aren’t even sure if we will make it or if we will get ejected back out again, but we give it a go! It’s all fun and games on Nutshell. In diesem Kurzfilm gehe ich für 2 Stunden raus in das nächste schöne Fleckchen Erde, um Kraft für die Woche zu tanken. Viel Spaß beim Anschauen, und euch allen auch eine wunderbare und kreative Woche Eures Lebens! Ich bin jetzt schon öfter gefragt worden, warum ich manchmal Military-Klamotten und -Ausrüstung trage. "Du siehst ja aus, als kämst du aus dem Krieg!" - Einmal gefallen mir die Sachen, weil sie sich gut in die Landschaft einfügen (bis auf die pinke Trinkflasche und das blaue MRE natürlich). Zum anderen sind die für den härteren Einsatz gedachten Sachen viel stabiler als normale Camping-Ausrüstung. Zugegeben, sie sind auch etwas schwerer. Aber das sehe ich das als gar keinen Nachteil an. Ich gehe ja immer auch zum Trainieren und Lernen raus, da müssen sie schon was aushalten. Schließlich gibt es noch eine dritte Ebene. Ich erinnere euer Unterbewusstsein auch mit Hilfe der Kleidung und Ausrüstung daran, dass wir tatsächlich im Krieg sind. In der Auseinandersetzung darum, wer du WIRKLICH bist, was deine eigenen Gedanken sind und was fremdbestimmt ist. Hat übrigens der alte griechische Philosoph Heraklit gesagt. "Der Krieg ist der Vater aller Dinge." Mit diesem wunderbaren Satz geht Heraklit einige Schritte weiter und verweist auf die fruchtbare Rolle, die "das Böse" in unserer Welt spielt. Frei nach Goethes Mephisto: "Ich bin ein Teil von jener Kraft, die stets das Böse will und doch das Gute schafft." Damn! Wir brauchen dringend einen unparteiischen, übergeordneten Referenzrahmen, von dem aus wir besser urteilen und und sichere Entscheidungen nachhaltig fällen können. Deswegen immer wieder mein Tipp: Geh raus in die Natur. Da draußen in der Natur findest du auch eher die Natur in dir drin.

Trim Tabs: What Are They and How Do You Use Them? One of the most common beginner boater questions is “what does it mean to ‘trim’ a boat?” It makes sense why this is such a common question the term is not self-explanatory. To put it simply, adjusting the trim modifies the angle of the boat as it travels through the water. These adjustments can enhance a boat’s performance and fuel efficiency. THE TRIM TAB, A KEY PERFORMANCE DRIVER The trim system of a boat relies on hydraulic rams to adjust the running angle of the boat. Adjusting the angle of the boat as it travels through the water changes the amount of water resistance affecting the boat’s propulsion. So, with the right angle, you can minimize the water resistance thus increasing the performance and fuel efficiency of the boat. You adjust the trim of the boat through the boat’s trim tab control buttons. They are typically placed directly on the throttle control, so using them should feel as natural as operating your car’s indicators. It’s adjusted in three different levels referred to as negative trim, neutral trim, and positive trim.
