En del af vores sejlads foregår på kryds, men det er båden heldigvis sublim til. Det er mere os der bliver lidt trætte, når vi krydser meget. Vi får også set turens første delfiner.

#85 Aujourd'hui, on vous partage un tout nouvel épisode qui raconte nos premières impressions sur le Guatemala. On visite d'abord la ville de Fronteras pour faire une épicerie plus que méritée après tout ce temps en mer et on repart tout de suite loin de la grande civilisation vers une communauté qui s'appelle Cayo Quemado. Ce lieux est l'endroit ou on passe presque tout notre temps depuis notre arrivé, mise à part les petites aventures dans le Lago de Izabal. Là-bas, on vous parle de la magnifique nature qui nous entoure et de certains projets de bateau qu'on souhaite entamer lors de la saison des cyclones. Et misère, on reçoit la visite d'un serpent à bord!!!! Quelle étrangeté! Vous verrez qu'il ne sentait pas très confortable à notre bord 😂. C'est notre initiation à la jungle!! Depuis ce jour, nous avons aussi eu un scorpion à bord. In this episode of The Art of Boat Building Bob continues, in this part 3 of casting marine bronze, to discuss the tools needed for sand casting. In addition he makes a hand ramming tool and takes us on a trip to Norway. In the summer of 2005 Bob was one of 4 sculptors invited to a symposium in Norway to create and cast stainless steel sculptures. The symposium took place at the Scana Stainless Steel Foundry in Jørpeland. Jørpeland is the centre of Strand municipality and is located on the western coast of the mainland, about 20 kilometers northeast of the city of Stavanger. This area is well know for Preikestolen, the pulpit rock that overlooks Idsefjorden. The main products that Scana, now know as the Stavanger Steel, produces are ship propellers. #177 In this episode we ask ourselves is our boat worth saving after finding a scary discovery during our haul out. Two years ago we had an emergency haul out of our boat. This time we actually scheduled a haul out in order to paint the bottom of our boat, fix a couple of things and then get back in the water. But there was something we didn’t know that was waiting for us once we pulled Saoirse out of the water. We have our spot booked for 10 days and we have a lot of work to do. One of the items on our list to do was to find the leak in our boat that was causing water to gather in our centerboard wells. After sucking out the standing water from our bilge and the centerboard wells, the water came back. This wasn’t a good sign. Why was water coming back into while we were OUT of the water?
