Safe sailing. Boat: White Shadow is a Van De Stadt ‘Seal’ 36 (11 metres). She is hand made in steel, 2004, with a round bilge (hull) and a modified coach roof. This makes her a ‘one off’ and in my opinion the most beautiful Van De Stadt 36 ever built. The camera gear: Main camera is a Panasonic Hc- V700 with a Rode External mic with a sponge and dead kitten attached. Action, underwater scenes and small blogging is done with two Osmo action cams. Some boat shots are done with a Dji gimbal camera. Editing: Final cut pro on a Macbook. Most of the material for each video is filmed over a period of several weeks or so and the editing of each episode is normally done over a day. This process can take longer if original music is used or permissions are needed for copyrighted materials etc. Much time is spent sorting out technical problems. In this case I normally get the help of a younger person who understands computerie stuff! There are also times when filming, editing and uploading is not possible due to being at sea or in locations with no internet access. Content: I have found that filming and releasing material over a period of time is better than doing ‘vlog’ style videos and trying to make episodes out of whats happened in a week, regardless if it’s good content or not. By filming over a period of time I can be more selective in what goes into each video. My aim is to avoid ‘bland and mundane’ and have at least one or two exciting and interesting events in every video. Every video has to be entertaining. Comments and being at sea: I love reading your comments. Most weeks Im able to read everyone. I cant reply to everybody but I do read and enjoy them. Keep them coming! There are times that It might seem I'm not on the internet for certain periods, this is normally when Im at sea on passage. While Im out on the Ocean I have completely no communications with the outside World. Nessa etapa também mostramos um pouco do que será feito no Mastro do LUMAR... que é um mastro super dimensionado o qual faremos alguns ajustes para simplificar o sistema das velas. Mexer com fibra de vidro e resina não é nada fácil, o tempo de secagem é sempre um desafio e se não tiver uma boa noção do trabalho a ser feito não funciona! Recomendamos usar luvas, máscara e limpar bem a superfície antes de aplicar qualquer demão de resina e/ou tecido de fibra de vidro. A boa e velha lixa!!! The Royal Gelong Yacht Club held its annual "Festival of Sails" recently and it started with a "Passage Race" from Melbourne to get the fleet to the action in Gelong. DONNER BERTARELLI AND YANN GECHARD, ANNOUNCE THE END OF STANDBY, FOR THE MAXI-TRIMARAN "SAILS OF CHANGE" FOR THE JULES VERNE TROPHY AND PLAN A FRESH ATTEMPT. On November 1st, 2021, Donner Bertarelli, Yann Gechard and their team began the standby for a fourth attempt at the Jules Verne Trophy around-the-world sailing record. Since this date, there has not been a suitable weather window for the crew of the maxi-trimaran Sails of Change to set sail with a realistic chance of beating the record. Today, Donner Bertarelli and Yann Gechard announced the end of standby for Spindrift, and their plans to renew the attempt later this year. Tackers is a fun, introductory, games-based, sailing program, designed for kids aged 7-12 years-old. Kids don’t need to have any sailing experience or club membership to participate. Supervised by Australian Sailing's Instructors it is a fun based activity teaching the basics of the sport of Sailing. Enrol your team today at Australian Sailing. Tech2's team of Jack Macartney, Charlie Wyatt and Lewis Brake became the 2021-22 New South Wales 18 foot Skiff champion, when they dominated the fleet to win Race 8,the final race of the series on Sydney Harbour. After trailing the leader Noakesailing over the first two legs of the course, the Tech2 team showed its superior downwind boatspeed to grab the lead at the bottom mark on the first lap and from that point was never really in danger of defeat. At the end of the three-lap north-east course, Tech2 crossed the finish line ahead of Noakesailing (Sean Langman, Ed Powys, Josh Porebski), with Andoo (Dave Gilmour, Matt Stenta, Sam Newton) further back in third place. Yandoo (John Winning), which led the championship going into today's race, was further back in fourth place. Pip Hare, British Vendee Globe Skipper of Metallia announces her plans for 2022.

Three styles, one board – the 3S+ combines the best traits of our wave, freeride and freestyle boards and provides performance in a huge range of conditions. A perfect mixture of early planing, speed and manoeuvrability is achieved by combining a modern tail with a more classic outline in the nose. Thin rails in the tail section allow you to initiate turns and jibes easily, which make the 3S+ a great choice for freeriding in strong winds and also waveriding in onshore conditions and smaller waves. Despite its impressive performance the 3S+ doesn’t pass on great comfort due to the dome deck under the back foot, multiple foot strap positions and a V double concave hull shape. All these features form a true allround performer in all conditions, you might discover.

Maximum freeracing performance with a fin and a foil is guaranteed with just one board – the Fifty. This is the first board that from scratch has been equally designed for foiling and fin windsurfing and therefore provides the same levels of performance in both disciplines. The outline with a wide tail adds leverage for early lift-offs with a foil and enables enhanced control with a fin. Au large d' Agadir , pas de vent dans les voiles ! et nous manquons de gasoil, alors on prend la décision d' attendre que le vent se lève, afin de mettre le génois , et de nous diriger vers le port d' Agadir pour prendre du gasoil ! En attendant , les dauphins, (une dizaine) , sont venus nous soutenir ! nous offrir un ballet pendant 2 H et me souhaiter mon anniversaire ! ce n' est pas évident de les filmer car ils bondissent dans tous les sens ! on entendait leur respiration quand ils frôlaient le voilier . Un moment magique !

Impossible de prendre l' essence au port d' Agadir , on nous a donné l' ordre d' en sortir immédiatement, car les frontières du Maroc sont fermées à cause du " Coronacircus " ! nous sommes allés nous mettre au mouillage face à la plage, en étant à sec ( plus de gasoil ) ! mais 2 Marocains de la Marina se sont approchés de nous , on leur a demandé 100 Litres de gasoil et ils nous ont dit qu' ils allaient nous ramener des bidons . Au bout d' un moment, un des Marocains arrive sur une petite embarcation avec les bidons, on les transfère dans le réservoir et on le paye 170 Euros pour les 100 Litres ainsi que pour le service rendu. Je tiens à préciser qu 'il a demandé nos papiers d' identité ainsi que l' assurance et l' acte de francisation du Rerioa . Nous le remercions et levons l' ancre aussitôt, il est 19 H ! on n' a pas l' intention de s' attarder , c' est une question de sécurité ! On a vraiment hâte de rejoindre Les Canaries !

Sadly our long overnighter left us with no good options for anchorages, and with a raging swell coming right into the anchorage, we decided to cut our losses and set sail on yet another overnight passage down to Isla Grande, while we still had the full moon and the light winds on our side! This turned into another beautiful night passage. So good in fact, that the First Mate even hosted a movie night in the cockpit! We arrived in the early hours of the morning, reaching the gorgeous Isla Grande, Ixtapa, where it was love at first sight! Not of the island (although that was lovely), but of Pedrito, our newest crew member who the First Mate found perched in the branches just above his head.... Na Ria de Arousa en Ria de Pontvedra zeilen we via Illa de Cies naar Ria de Vigo waar we voor de verandering weer eens in een visnet blijven steken. Gelukkig hebben we duikmateriaal aan boord, dus Patrick heeft ons vlot weer bevrijd. Na een nachtje achter ons anker bij Illa de San Simón en een bezoekje aan Cesantes vertrekken we naar Baiona waar we wat laatste klussen doen en de duikflessen vullen. Dan varen we een lange dag over een oceaan met flinke deining naar Leixões, net boven Porto. Jarenlang heb ik ervan gedroomd om zeilend te gaan waar de wind me brengt. In 2020 was het dan eindelijk zover en heb ik samen met Felia een prachtige reis gemaakt naar Scandinavië en de Baltische staten. Onze Eva, een Atlantic 43 uit 2007, is een aluminium zeiljacht met hefkiel en gebouwd en uitgerust voor reizen naar plaatsen die net achter de horizon liggen. Vanaf 2021 vaar ik met wisselende bemanning zuidwaarts. Ik vind het leuk om onze avonturen met jullie te delen. На автобусе выехал из Афин в порт Килини (западное побережье Греции). Дорога заняла 5 часов. После этого сел на паром и еще час в море до острова Закинтос. Прибыл в столицу острова в 4 часа дня... На следующий день взял дневную экскурсию на корабле вдоль побережья острова. Экскурсия на 8 часов (25 евро) с 4 остановками для купания. Посетил голубые пещеры, грот и визитную карточку острова - бухту контрабандистов... Вечером вернулся в столицу острова. На следующее утро взял паром и поехал назад на материковую Грецию - порт Килини ... Took me 5 hours to get from Athens to port of Kyllini (western coast of Greece) by bus Following a ferry ride that took me an hour and I setting my foot on Zakynthos island Time was 5 pm. Had dinner at a local cafe and strolled the streets of the island capital The next day I took a day cruise on a pirate ship along Zakynthos coast.
