Talk to Sailboats Northeast: https://www.sneyachts.com Bought a boat far away and need to get it home? Here are the three ways to do it: (1) sail it yourself, (2) truck/haul it, or (3) hire a professional delivery crew. We break down the real-world tradeoffs—time, cost, wear-and-tear, oversize hauling issues, and the hidden yard fees (cranes, unstepping the mast, launch/haul). We also share realistic delivery cost ranges and why a professional delivery can double as a valuable “shake-down” that teaches you the boat. 00:00 - Bought a Boat Far Away (Now What?) 00:17 - Truck/Haul It (When It Makes Sense) 01:11 - Professional Delivery Crew #sailing #sailboat #sailor
The Saxdor 400 GTS is a boat that immediately feels purpose-built for modern boating, especially in markets like Florida where versatility really matters. It combines sharp Nordic design with a layout that works equally well for relaxed day boating, fast coastal runs, and comfortable overnight trips. THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS Mention code DBL for discounts on Marine Mold Construction https://ms-marine.eu/ In terms of use, this boat covers a lot of ground. It’s not designed as a trailer boat, but it works extremely well as a day boat, a high-end yacht tender, and an adventure-focused platform. While fishing isn’t the main priority, the layout still supports it, and the cabin setup allows for overnights and long weekends for up to four people. Coastal and offshore cruising are both well within its comfort zone. This is a boat clearly designed for owners who want one platform to do many things and do them well. Look closer.Yes, it’s a Sauvage 34 — but not the one you think. This is the Sauvage 34 Spider.Same hull, a completely new vision. At the bow, the chaise longue is longer, softer, more refined — designed to be lived, not just seen.Above, the roof is fully integrated with the windshield and can be completely closed, even on the sides, creating a protected and sophisticated space. Almost like a sports car… but on the water. On deck and below, every detail steps up: leather handrails, smarter storage, refined finishes. The hull remains the same, but the sporty attitude is taken to the next level. That’s the Spider concept: exclusivity, aerodynamic lines, and a single windshield for improved performance. Ranieri Sauvage 34 Spider.Same Sauvage soul.

Koa e Kea is a Philippe Briand design, built in the Marc Pinta yard in La Rochelle France. The hull is strengthened by 1” of Airex high density closed cell foam. The yacht was purchased in Tunisia, and brought to Malta for a $1.4M spare-no-expense refit. Philippe Briand redesigned the cabin top and salon, increasing headroom and luxury while also strengthening the hull. The interior was built using Artkonboard, a lightweight cored panel material, with attention to keeping the boat light. It is covered in teak or sycamore venee sourced from a single, hand selected Burmese log. Everything installed on the yacht was selected of the highest quality, from the Antal rigging to the Villeroy & Bach sink. Relaunched in October 2013, Koa E Kea sailed extensively in the Med, where it was not uncommon to cruise at 10-12 knots on a reach with only the genoa set. Flat and relaxing in the cockpit, with the board up she sails through waters one meter deep! Drop the daggerboard and raise the main, and she can point as high as 30 degrees with speeds in the high teens! On deck, she was designed to be handled from the cockpit with single line reefing in the main, all headsails on roller furlers, and an electric winch to make it easy. The salon table is a small oval cocktail type which turns and splits to accept two leaves, becoming a dining table for four. With a push of a button, the table drops on its electrical pedestal to disappear under the sole. The interior space was designed to be organic, no corners, all round shapes and curves. There are 3 Fusion stereos connected to 17 speakers. The salon has 4 speakers and a subwoofer for listening to music, and another 4 speakers and a sub for watching movies. The cockpit features two speakers, and the aft cabin has 4 speakers and subwoofer. The cockpit pillows are covered with a $265/yard Sunbrella leopard print, no expense was spared! The boat comes with many spare parts, tools, and accessories. Spares include a high pressure water pump for the 190L/hr watermaker, autopilot actuator, and 2 Brompton folding bicycles. This trimaran has a new sails: fully batten main, jib, and genoa. The boat is ready to go, worldwide, owner is offering delivery at $2/nm plus expenses. Mitte November.
Sailing vessel Tapatya This is the story of SV Tapatya, a self-built, Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk schooner-rigged cruising sailboat. We all were expecting a storm with 100 km/h. winds which turned into a blow. Did some dock walking and talked some stuff. Enjoy 👍⛵
We left the coast knowing the ocean doesn’t offer guarantees , only choices. This film follows our offshore crossing through the western Caribbean: night sailing, storms, long distances, quiet fear, and the moments in between. From Panama to San Andrés, across the Nicaraguan Rise, and on to Honduras, we stay far offshore, deliberately. There are no heroics here. No celebration. Just vigilance, judgment, and respect for what matters. Out here, distance becomes protection. Silence becomes information. And movement… is intention. Filmed at sea. All positions shown are real. Nothing staged.

A milestone for us in this project - floating our 57ft Abandoned Catamaran for the first time in 7 years!! We FINALLY get to test fit our rudders and check our waterline length with less than 2 weeks before we officially launch. We've still got a boatload of jobs remaining, but with good tunes and liberation from the hardstand we think we just might get there! WOOO! We didn’t come here to sightsee. After weeks tied to the dock in Wrangell, we left to reset, earn, and put our sailboat back to work by heading out to Port Protection, Alaska. Port Protection is known to many because of the reality TV series filmed here, but for us it’s a remote community where self-reliance still matters and opportunity still exists if you’re willing to move your life to meet it. Our sailboat isn’t just how we travel - it’s how we find work, reach people, and make this life possible year-round. This channel documents self-reliance aboard a sailboat in Alaska, lived day by day and season by season. Memberships: A few of you have asked for a way to support what we’re doing and to spend more time in longer Wheelhouse talks and on-the-go updates. Because of that, we opened YouTube memberships. It gives us a place to share members-only lives, more candid updates, and the in-between moments that don’t always fit the main channel. Completely optional - we’re grateful you're here either way. #PortProtection #AlaskaLife #SailboatLife #SelfReliance #Liveaboard
