Although we always made the most of the circumstances, being a liveaboard cruiser in the last two years was made challenging enough by the pandemic. But we were always careful with exposure, had gotten our three shots of a vaccine (plus a fourth by the time this video is released), wore our N95 masks, and followed the recommendations. Our crew had to be both vaccinated and needed to test negative for covid before being able to fly to Bermuda, and we even tested ourselves before departure. We love Croatia! It's the kind of place you can just get lost in (in a good way)! I didn't know much about the country before coming here, but I learned that Croatia is made up of a ton of different islands. 1244 islands, to be exact. It's the coolest place! This week we spent time exploring ancient fortresses on the island of Hvar, cruising around Split on our new One-Wheels and learning more about sailing on the Adriatic. The daggerboards on the Outremer 5x are finally fixed after weeks of trying, and it's making a huge difference in the performance. We also got a new Tiwal Inflatable Sailboat and had a blast learning how to sail on that. Our plans were to head to Vis Island, and we did get there...eventually. We just saw so many amazing anchorages along the way that our plans changed. And that would be my advice if you are coming to Croatia, don't be too strict in your planning. There are so many wonderful places to visit and being flexible is vital. There are lots of inexpensive water taxis that can take you around to wherever you want to go!

With no wind and nothing to do, I put the outboard onto the Mirror DInghy and go take a tour of all the boats on the moorings in the lake. It was quite interesting actually as there's a lot of different boats out there. Do I wet my appetite enough to look for a new boat for myself!!! Tag der offenen Bunkertüre des "Hunter Verein Interlaken am 3. September 2022. Die grosse technische Ausrüstung und der Triebwerklauf (Ohren zu) waren beeindruckend. Kulinarisch kamen wir auch nicht zu kurz.

Die über 100-jährige, nostalgische Drahtseilbahn hat uns innerhalb von vier Minuten von Interlaken auf die Heimwehfluh gebracht. Tolle Aussicht über Interlaken und für Kinder ein Erlebnis . Für unseren Hund weniger.

Ausflüge rund um den Brienzersee, nach Oberried imd Niederried (Restaurant Rössli, die Cordonbleus waren ein Hit...). Weiter nach Saxeten, Iseltwald und Habkern. Abschliessen gabs im Brauistübli Matten b. Interlaken ein sehr leckeres Fondu Chinoise à discrétion.

Ferien am Brienzersee, schönstes Wetter, nicht zu heiss, im Chalet Diana in Ringgenberg - mit See- und Bergblick - erholsame Urlaubstage mit eigenem Seezugang. Da haben wir uns und unser Riesenschnauzer sehr wohl gefühlt...

La partie 2 de notre voyage à bord d’Iguana, un voilier que l’on a rénové pendant 5 ans! Nous naviguerons pendant environ 1 mois, entre Casleton-on-the-huston et Sandy-Hook. Nous y changerons nos batteries et nous nous y protégerons de l’ouragan Fiona qui passera au large. Bonne écoute!
