Croatian Islands - Sailing the Adriatic - Hvar, Vis, and Split - Family Travel Vlog 2022

We love Croatia! It's the kind of place you can just get lost in (in a good way)! I didn't know much about the country before coming here, but I learned that Croatia is made up of a ton of different islands. 1244 islands, to be exact. It's the coolest place! This week we spent time exploring ancient fortresses on the island of Hvar, cruising around Split on our new One-Wheels and learning more about sailing on the Adriatic. The daggerboards on the Outremer 5x are finally fixed after weeks of trying, and it's making a huge difference in the performance. We also got a new Tiwal Inflatable Sailboat and had a blast learning how to sail on that. Our plans were to head to Vis Island, and we did get there...eventually. We just saw so many amazing anchorages along the way that our plans changed. And that would be my advice if you are coming to Croatia, don't be too strict in your planning. There are so many wonderful places to visit and being flexible is vital. There are lots of inexpensive water taxis that can take you around to wherever you want to go!
