During this phase, the landing perch dynamically follows the tether to be able to locate the kite and guide the tether vertically. * Once the full tether is unrolled, the landing perch rotates backwards to free up the tether for the upcoming flight. * The kite starts to transition into figure eight flight (power production mode; during this flight wind was too low to actually produce power). * Only short figure eight flight, as test was intended to show functionality of ground station. * Kite transitions back into hover. * Landing Perch rotates to the front, catching the tether. * Tether is rolled back up onto the winch, again, guided by the sensors on the actively controlled perch. * Tether Hook come in contact with docking beam. * Rotors power off, hooks engage. * Kite ready to fly again. Hey Welcome to my Channel Thanks so much for joining Wanagi And Me on our Adventures here in the Philippines. In this video we go to another waterfall check out some amazing beaches and share some of the underwater world we experienced with you.

It looks like the plugins within the video failed during upload. Thanks YT.. :] Apologies for that guys ;) This week we continue with boat projects that start to pile up. Although we are tempted to complete projects that would give us waaaay more satisfaction than grinding out old seacocks or doing tedious repairs..we gotta focus on those jobs for the moment. We really have to hurry if we want to have our boat painted before the end of this year. We discover soooo many problem areas on the hull though, that we are beginning to have doubts whether we are going to make it in time before winter arrives. The temperatures are dropping with each day, the humidity is way above that allowed for spray painting more often than not.. On top of that we come across a bigger problem with the keel. It is going to be a huge setback.

After a nice fall sail, we continue the refit of my vintage 1965 16’ ODay Ospray SV KuzKuz. Some fiberglass work and reinforcement of the mast step. After 10 years on land, she is one step closest to her maiden voyage. There are no sponsors for this video. I’m not a professional so do you own due diligence when making repairs. This week’s guest yacht is from a new brand from the biggest manufacturer in the business, Lagoon. The EXCESS 15! Today we are going to 1. Review its specifications, pricing and layout against three similar new vessels. 2. Do a full tour asking, “What would Sylvia say?” 3. Naval Gaze at an innovation and/or adjustment that might make life aboard easier. 4. Have a look at the used market for 3-5 year old comparables 5. And finally give it a “Dave Score” and compare the result with all our previously reviewed yachts. Stating from Vancouver British Columbia, we fly across the Atlantic to the West Coast of France and the home of last week’s yacht at the Nautitech yards in Rochefort. From here we bounce up the coast of France to the Lagoon yards in Bordeaux where the Excess 15 is built. For our wine pairing this week we simply head up river from Lagoon to the opposite shore and MAISON SICHEL. Famille Sichel Margaux Red Blend. 2016 is our pairing Situated 25km from Bordeaux, the Margaux appellation covers five municipalities and is the only one in the Médoc where you find the entire, rich and vast range of wines, from the first to the fifth Grand Cru Classé. Margaux wines are particularly supple and refined. They are characterised by very elegant, fruity aromas, making them the benchmark for generous, sophisticated wines with soft ripe tannins. When fully mature, the grapes are for the most part, hand-picked. In the cellar, the grapes are crushed and destemmed and then put into fermenters. The harvest is heated to around 22 °C to allow a quick start to the fermentation. Twice a day, pumping over with aeration takes place in order to extract as much colour and tannin as possible. When the alcoholic fermentation is over, the vats are maintained at a temperature around 30°C for 15 to 21 days. After the running off, the malolactic fermentation takes place in vats. A 6 to 8 months ageing in French oak barrels is done with racking every 4 weeks. The wines are fined and filtered on earth before bottling. Höstrustning av en IF Segelbåt. Båtägande är så mycket mer än att bara vara ute på sjön. Jag verkligen gillar att hänga vid båten såhär på höstkanten och städa upp och fixa. Visst är det lite trist att klättra upp och ner, ner och upp … eftersom prylar trillar ner från däck ständigt. :) Man behöver naturligtvis inte använda nagelborste att skrubba däck med, men man får ju njuta så mycket längre. (notering till mig själv: Köp större borste...) När däcket och skrovet är rent, masten vilar i mastskjulet och batterierna fulladdade; då mår jag fint … fast längtan ut finns alltid nära. Man vill ju ut och kika lite.

We are leaving Holland after 4 weeks on the canals. Emmy gets a bit seasick and blame the canals for spoiling us with flat waters for so long. There is a strange sand/current/wind/wave phenomena that makes us think that we run aground. Our stop in Belgium only lasts for 48 hours, but we go to find some famous french fries and find that they are just like any other fries...
