I have an old Allpowers Battery that I have just fixed so I thought what better use for it than to use it for Lulu. It's got 24AH of 12V power so should be large enough to run a bunch of 12V gadgets, phones/tablets and even a laptop if needed. I make a wateproof lead for it so we can start to work out how to install it on Lulu. I also finish making the waterproof silicon covers for my outboard battery. You also want to look for a subwoofer with a low frequency response, meaning it can handle the lowest frequencies. Lastly, consider the type of enclosure you want, such as a sealed or ported box. The Art of Getting the Most Out of Your Bass Placement is key, to get the most out of your subwoofer. If you have seen our video with the Jeep subwoofer, we have the ports pointed toward the corners of the jeep body. Just like in your home, the closer the subwoofer is to a corner, the more bass reflect you get which equals more bass. In our car we have the subwoofer port in the corner giving us low smooth bass. Once you've installed your subwoofer, it's time to fine-tune your settings to get the most out of your bass. Start by adjusting the gain, which controls the volume of the subwoofer. You want to set it to a level that's loud enough to hear but not so loud that it distorts the sound. With a subwoofer mounted in a trunk this can destroy the speaker because you can't hear it. Next, adjust the low-pass filter, which limits the frequencies that the subwoofer can play. This will prevent it from playing sounds that it can't handle or sound you don't want it to produce.  Let's Get Pumped: Tips for Maximizing Your Sub's Potential Now that you've got your subwoofer set up, it's time to get pumped! Here are some tips for maximizing your sub's potential: - Play around with different genres of music to find the sweet spot for your subwoofer. - Turn up the volume gradually to avoid damaging your ears or your car's sound system. - Experiment with different EQ settings to fine-tune your sound. - Consider adding sound deadening material to your car's interior to reduce road noise and improve sound quality. - Be respectful of your neighbors and don't blast your music too loudly in residential areas. During spring prep I discovered my jib halyard was stuck up the masthead. The only way to bring it down was to go up. It was a windy day so extra lines were used for safety and stability. There are different methods to clim up a mast. This is what I did. The rope ladder and harness were purchased on Amazon for about $138. SV KYRON is a 1972 Pearson 26. See you on the water. This is the seventh episode of many to come that is following the build, launching and sailing of "Glass Slipper." A Jim Antrim designed 40 foot offshore race boat that is being built on location at the Berkeley Marine Center in Berkeley California. The build process has taken 5 years and finally the boat is in the water and sailing! The video covers a couple of the recent training days. Just working on dialing in the boat in preparation for Transpac. Figuring out what holes in our sail inventory we have so we can get them built as soon as possible. An impression of a dive at the indoor diving center TODI in Beringen, Belgium. This is a large freshwater reservoir with various objects underwater. It is home to 5,000 fish divided into 24 species. The reservoir is originally a thickener on a former mining site. It has a diameter of 36 metres and a capacity of 6,200,000 litres of water. The maximum depth is almost 10 metres.
