Over a thousand Fishers were built over the years and its classic appearance yet practical design has helped this style vessel remain popular. “About Time” is a comfortable liveaboard or a great boat to explore the Caribbean. With its trawler style bow, canoe stern and pilot house with high, molded bulwarks, “About Time” is ready for her next owner. Stepping aboard one immediately notices the Fishers stability and seaworthiness. Its wide and easy to navigate topsides lead back to the teak accented cockpit forward the canoe style stern. The pilothouse is accessed through a companionway door just to port of the centerline, forward of the cockpit. Entering the cozy pilothouse, you have excellent visibility 360 degrees and substantial elevation to easily see forward and aft. A companionway located starboard of the centerline leads one down into a comfortably sized salon with galley to port. A settee, table and seating for five is located forward of the galley. The head is located to starboard, across from the galley, next to the companionway to the upper helm. Moving forward, a roomy and comfortable sized V berth with storage below. Das kleine Karibikparadies Antigua und Barbuda ist unser bisheriges Highlight auf der anderen Seite des Atlantik. Nach ein paar Tagen Müßiggang auf Barbuda müssen wir aber langsam wieder den Weg Richtung Süden einschlagen. Die Hurrikan-Saison rückt immer näher. Von Barbuda geht es zunächst nach Antigua. Wir segeln die Ostküste entlang, ankern zwischen Riffen. An der Südküste machen wir Halt in Falmouth Harbour, wo wir mit Freunden, die wir unterwegs kennengelernt haben, entspannte Tage bei Partys und BBQ's am Strand verbringen. Und dann ist da noch das Antigua Classic Race, eine Regatta von Oldies but Goldies...

What an amazing experience we have had so far. The Bahamian people are so welcoming and inviting. We have had the opportunity to chat with so many locals that are super excited to share their knowledge with us about weather, eateries, must see spots and so much more. However, mother nature is not being so nice. She has decided that she is going to do things her way, and that is making our voyage a wee bit more stressful than it needs to be. But with that we are strengthening our sea legs and building our skills. We are learning how to route our way through the quick changes and being prepared for the next unknown that comes up.
