Part of our saloon has had water damage and rotten wood for a while — and although it would have been easy to patch over it, we knew that wasn’t good enough. If we’re preparing this boat for the Pacific, we want it solid. So we ripped it out. What started as removing damaged wood quickly turned into the beginning of a full redesign. If we’re going to rebuild it, we might as well build it better — and make the space truly work for how we live onboard. Faire un plan de tête de mât pour faire entrer, une antenne, VHF, un anémomètre, une girouette, un feu de main mât, sans que l’un gêne l’autre, c’est vraiment très compliqué ! Ici il a fallu créer entièrement le support pour l’anémomètre. Par la même occasion, on a constaté, qu’un des supports de la barre de flèche était fendu !
