Salut les loulous ⚓⚓ On remonte sur Las Palmas pour éviter un coup de vent dans le sud . Le lendemain le vent est calmé et on fait plusieurs mouillages à l'est de Ténérif . Le dernier mouillage est terrible 20nds de vent et 1m de houle . On ne peux pas dormir et l'ancre dérape à cause des vagues qui font monter l'étrave à 80cm de haut , la chaîne tire violement et décroche . On rejette l'ancre à 11h du soir avec 40m de chaîne . After a summer of working daily on shore, weekend boat projects, and a few short sailing excursions, it is time to haul Eleutheros out of the water for the winter. We discover some interesting marine life on the bottom of the boat! The day before Mark takes his father and two brothers out for a short sail. He successfully sails off the dock but ends up in a bit of an incident! He ends up to close to shore because he wanted to give his family a close up view of the Bluenose II. While Mark was putting up the jib for extra power, Eleutheros was turned up to close to the wind and lost the speed necessary to tack which forced Mark to turn toward the shore to try to jibe but there was no room….

Why? Because we want to live 100% off-grid. In this video, we tackle one of the most stressful parts of the build: the aluminum roof. From engineering a custom trim to collect every drop of rainwater to creating enough surface area for over 3,000W of solar power, we’re pushing the limits of what a monohull can do. __________________________ We are Duca and Roberta, a Brazilian couple that during a sabbatical trip in 2016 decided to follow our dream. So, we created "Odd Life Crafting", a project composed of many smaller projects that we call seasons. The first one was the creation of Odd Life Crafting. The idea was to build a metal boat to be able to travel the world taking our house with us, but we didn't have money for that. So, we started the next season: we built a tiny shipping container house with no prior experience in building to gain some skills to build a boat. When we were almost finished we found a boat 700km away from our hometown that was neglected for over 22 years and we spent 2 years refitting her (Season 3). On the season 4 we sailed for 2 years (exploring the Brazilian coast and part of the Caribbean), we sold our boat and we moved to Europe. The last season we are starting to build a new aluminum 43ft sailboat and a new life. We hope to inspire others to follow their dreams. Places like this actually exist… and after days crossing the Indian Ocean, we finally found ourselves here. Not long after leaving Sri Lanka, this passage didn’t go exactly to plan. An unexpected encounter at sea and an engine issue reminded us that out here, you stay calm, keep moving, and deal with things one step at a time. After days of blue in every direction, the Maldives appeared — and everything slowed down. We explored crystal-clear lagoons, anchored carefully over sand to protect the reef, and spent days snorkelling and free diving through an underwater world full of life. In this episode, we continue our trek south – already 694nm down – with this passage taking us a further 261nm from Pancake Creek to the base of Fraser (K’gari) Island. After a great yet slightly traumatic side trip to Lady Musgrave Island, where we were smashed by a surprise 39-knot storm (check out Episode 47 for that chaos), we spent a few days riding out the spring storms in Bundaberg – including helping a fellow sailor remove a fishing lure from his back! Never a dull moment… From there, we pushed on to Fraser (K’gari) Island, spending 11 days exploring more of this stunning part of Queensland. On our way out of the Sandy Straits we took an alternative route that saved us a heap of time and proved to be far less shallow than expected – an excellent discovery for the logbook. So far, we’ve clocked 955nm and 39 days on this epic journey home. The adventure continues… Thanks for watching. Teknenin tavanına kaynatılmış deliklerle iş kolay başladı ama ikinci bir calaskarı da bumbaya alınca tüylerimiz diken diken oldu. Biz de kolları sıvadık, bir an önce motor çıksın diye canhıraş çalıştık. Neyseki kazasız belasız havuzluğa aldık. sonrası zaten kolay. Geri gelinceye kadar rahatız :) Motorla birlikte 5 senedir bir türlü çalıştırmayı beceremediğimiz jeneratörü de çıkarttırdık. Nelson'un atölyede yatıyor. Bu sefeer çalıştı çalıştı yoksa artık yola bizimle devam etmeyecek. Heyecanla kaynakçının gelmesini beklerken işler sarpa sardı. 10 gün sonra ölçü almaya geldikten sonra burada çok iş var, ben anlaştığımız tutara bu işi yapamam diye tutturdu. Welcome back aboard Moor R & R! Episode 20 In this episode, we say goodbye to the beautiful island of Scawfell and continue our journey further south to Percy Island, a place rich in sailing history and unforgettable memories. We visit the legendary Percy Island Yacht Club (the Percy Hilton) and leave a little piece of Moor R & R behind in the hut — adding our memorabilia to the countless boats that have passed through before us. It’s a special moment and a reminder of how connected the sailing community truly is. Behind the beach, we discover something completely unexpected — a network of quiet creeks that lead us deep into the mangroves. Exploring by paddle board, we stumble upon a breathtaking tree system that feels just like a Secret Everglades. Still, wild, and incredibly special, it’s one of those places that stops you in your tracks. We then head toward Island Head Creek to try our luck crabbing… but the ocean has other plans, and our pots are raided before we get a chance 😅. After the adventure, we move on to Port Clinton for a couple of days to rest and recharge before setting our sights on Great Keppel Island, where we’ll be spending Christmas.
