Nothing is more frustrating than turning the key and hearing... nothing. 🤫 We’re back at it with our 1973 VW Bus restoration! Today, we’re tackling the ignition switch. The "reputable" shop would have charged us a fortune in labor to pull the steering column, but we’re doing it ourselves as part of our $4,000 budget build. It’s a tight squeeze and a bit of a puzzle, but we’re proving that with a little patience (and an awesome boyfriend to help), you can keep these classics on the road without getting robbed by the repair shop. SUBSCRIBE to follow along with the journey! 🚌💨

The journey continues south. Next stop: Saint Helena. The voyage is exclusively close-hauled, mostly in force 4 winds. I'm having great luck with the fishing and am delighted that things are going so well. After 3221 nautical miles and 25 days alone at sea, I drop anchor off Jamestown. The camera gear finally gave up the ghost. It’s dead. New kit is on order, but that’s the reality of a DIY operation—sometimes the tech fails before the spirit does. Beyond the dead pixels, we’ve been in the trenches with Bella. Our pup’s dealing with a pinched nerve and a rough back, so we’ve been focused on getting her back on her feet. Add in the quiet of an empty nest and a much-needed tactical reset, and we’ve been "off-grid" for a minute. We haven’t forgotten you. New gear drops tomorrow, a haircut is in the works, and we’re back in the wire next weekend. Traded the lawnmower for a salt breeze, and we’re not looking back. Stay tuned.

We kick things off soaking up the sun at Nikki Beach, easing into another unreal day in Saint Barthélemy. From there it’s poolside vibes, cold drinks, and Yosaira absolutely stealing the show in a tiny bikini that turns heads everywhere we go. That night? Things heat up even more as we head out for an unforgettable cabaret experience in St. Barts — wild energy, great music, and one seriously fun night out in one of the Caribbean’s most exclusive playgrounds. The next morning we weigh anchor and enjoy a beautiful downwind sail back to St. Martin, cruising into the Dutch side and grabbing a marina slip for a couple nights to relax, reset, and get ready for what’s next. Sun, sailing, and some seriously spicy island vibes — this one’s a good one. 🍹⛵🔥 This channel is funded by viewers like you. A 2015 Leopard 48 Catamaran is on offer in the Seychelles. This is a walk through video to showcase the boat. 4 double cabins and 4 bathrooms.
The 100 feet (l.o.a. 32.3 meter) Neorion is a timeless proven aluminium sailing yacht, built by Bloemsma, after a design by Horst Stichnoth. She has been finished in 2014, under the supervision of Olivier van Meer in the Netherlands. The superstructure and cockpit and many other wooden details on deck has been built in teak by Dörr-Lemmer in unique craftsmanship. The interior woodwork is built in mahagony and she is equipped with airco and heating systems. She offers a spacious and practical lay-out with one full beam owners cabin and two guest cabins all with ensuite bathroom (total of 6 guests). The spacious saloon (next to the galley) offers a nice dining table and separated seating area together with a navigation/working desk. A unique made skylight offers plenty of daylight coming into this saloon/dining area. In the foreship is one crew cabin (2 beds) with pantry accessible from deck. The deck saloon offers a nice sofa with panoramic views and a navigation station. Her deck lay-out offers a spacious seating with dining table covered by a solid stainless steel frame with canvas for sun protection. The yacht can easily by sailed from the separate steering position as all (furl) sails are hydraulicly operated. Also the bow thruster, anchor winches, tender davit are all hydraulicly operated. She is a truly proven oceanic ocean going schooner as she did a full circumnavigation under all weather conditions. The yacht is easily sailed during various sea states with a relative small crew. Discover the more shallow bays as Neorion is equipped with a centerboard that reduced her depth to 2.7 meter. Fully equipped and well looked after, she is the ideal yacht for those who prefer a classic styled yacht that is easily operated but also performs well under sail and build in truly Dutch craftsmanship. Day 47, Solo NonStop Circumnavigation: I switch out the storm sail for a stay sail Captain Jay gave me back in Grenada. While doing so I also chose to exchange some reefs and lose it in the boom. Big mistake! It’s September 10th. In the North Atlantic. Heading towards the equator. Over 2,300 miles from the start (Grenada). 0 engine hours have been used since setting sail. WILL ANSWER ALL COMMENTS WHEN I HAVE SERVICE! ❤️ ABOUT: My name is Captain Kimmer. After tri-outs: sailing across the Atlantic without any navigation equipment, just my eyes and the stars, we’re on mission 1 of 3. A Solo NonStop Circumnavigation with a twist! I hope you enjoy the show. PATREON: Captain Kimmer For those who want to support financially, this is the best moral boost! NON PROFIT 🐶 ♋️ The Bravest Dog in the World Is About to Change It. Help Us Get There. I’m Captain Kimmer, Kimmer O’Reilly — sailor, survivor, and founder of a mission that shouldn’t be possible. Two-time blood cancer nearly took my life. When I survived, I expected joy. What came instead was an identity crisis. I didn’t know who I was anymore — just that the old me was gone. Then came Casper — my service dog, my best friend, my reason to fight forward. Now, Casper and I are doing something no one believes can be done: a nonstop solo circumnavigation of the globe… starting from the wrong side. We’re sailing east, into the wind and current, through the Southern Ocean and past the Cape of Good Hope — proving that after cancer, life isn’t over. It can be better than it ever was. But we’re not just breaking records. We’re launching a nonprofit to help cancer survivors rediscover purpose, identity, and joy. This GoFundMe isn’t just to keep our sails full. It’s to build something that lasts long after we return. Donate today — not just to help Casper and me sail around the world, but to help thousands of survivors believe they can start again. Design, Models & Real-World Ownership Tradeoffs Which Hylas Fits Your Cruising Plans? Hosted by David Walters Yachts President Josh McLean and DWY Sales Director Erik Haaland. Buying (or moving up within) the Hylas fleet is rarely about “bigger is better.” It’s about fit—how the boat’s design choices translate into the way you’ll actually cruise: day-to-day handling, comfort at anchor, passagemaking confidence, maintenance load, and long-term satisfaction. This practical, experience-driven session breaks down the major Hylas models and generations through the lens of real ownership—not brochure claims. We’ll unpack how layout, displacement, sail plan, and systems complexity change the experience underway and at rest, and why two boats that look similar on paper can feel radically different over a season (or a crossing). Topics include: Hylas design philosophy—and how it has evolved over time Key differences between major models (46, 48, 49, 54, 56, 57, 63, & 70) Performance vs. comfort tradeoffs—and how they shape cruising style Crew requirements, systems complexity, and maintenance realities Matching the right Hylas to coastal cruising, offshore passagemaking, or liveaboard plans Common “why this model” decision points owners cite after living aboard and cruising Who this webinar is for: Buyers deciding between Hylas models (or between “classic” and “modern” Hylas generations) Current owners considering a move up/down in size Cruisers who want to reduce surprises by understanding ownership tradeoffs before they buy About David Walters Yachts & Hylas David Walters Yachts has built a long-standing reputation as the go-to brokerage for Hylas—not just for helping clients buy and sell these yachts, but for advising on the practical realities that matter once you actually own one: how different models behave offshore, what systems complexity really means over time, and how to align a boat’s layout and sailing characteristics with the way you plan to cruise. This webinar is designed to give you a clear, experience-backed framework for choosing the Hylas that best matches your cruising goals, your crew plan, and your desired “complexity level”—so you can buy with confidence and enjoy the ownership experience you’re aiming for. #Hylas #HylasYachts #Hylas46 #Hylas48 #Hylas49 #Hylas54 #Hylas56 #Hylas57 #Hylas63 #Hylas70 #BluewaterCruising 🌊 #OffshoreSailing 🌎 #Passagemaking ⛵️ #Liveaboard 🏝️ #CruisingLife #SailingWebinar 🎥 #YachtOwnership #YachtBuying #YachtBrokerage #DavidWaltersYachts #DWY #JoshMcLean #SailboatTalk #YachtDesign #SailingLifestyle

Also warten wir ab.

The Saxdor 400 GTS is a boat that immediately feels purpose-built for modern boating, especially in markets like Florida where versatility really matters. It combines sharp Nordic design with a layout that works equally well for relaxed day boating, fast coastal runs, and comfortable overnight trips. THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS Mention code DBL for discounts on Marine Mold Construction https://ms-marine.eu/ In terms of use, this boat covers a lot of ground. It’s not designed as a trailer boat, but it works extremely well as a day boat, a high-end yacht tender, and an adventure-focused platform. While fishing isn’t the main priority, the layout still supports it, and the cabin setup allows for overnights and long weekends for up to four people. Coastal and offshore cruising are both well within its comfort zone. This is a boat clearly designed for owners who want one platform to do many things and do them well. After a long holiday break back home in Massachusetts, Steve, Robin, and Akiva make the 1,100-mile journey back north to Arabella and winter life in Newfoundland. With big plans for backcountry skiing and ice climbing along the island’s northwest coast, it’s time to finish some critical prep. This episode covers the build of a second custom sled bag using a newly acquired Sailrite sewing machine—a test run before tackling major canvas projects on Arabella. Steve walks through the design, materials, and sewing techniques that will make hauling winter climbing gear into the mountains faster and easier. With new skis and rare Silvretta bindings dialed in, the crew heads out for a recon mission along the Fox River toward the Lewis Hills. But a sudden storm and strong winds nearly derail the season when one ski goes straight overboard and sinks into the harbor. What follows is an unexpected winter recovery mission, a boat launch in January, and a reminder of how quickly things can go sideways in cold conditions. The episode wraps with a first look at the trail system, wildlife tracks in the snow, and early planning for multi-day backcountry trips—setting the stage for winter adventures to come. In this episode: • Driving back to Newfoundland in winter • DIY sled bag/pulk gear sewing • Sailrite machine setup & techniques • Silvretta ski bindings for ice climbing approaches • Losing (and recovering) a ski overboard • Winter harbor recovery mission • Trail recon toward the Lewis Hills • Preparing for multi-day backcountry travel -------------------------- Episode 375 Sign up for our email newsletter: http://eepurl.com/hn3Qyv Acorn to Arabella started as a wooden boat building project in Granby, Massachusetts. Steve began the journey as an amateur wooden boat builder crafting a 38' wooden sailboat in his backyard: designer William Atkin's Ingrid with a Stormy Petrel's gaff rig. These videos follow the journey from tree felling, to lumber milling, to lofting, to the lead keel pour and now sailing the boat—sharing details of the woodworking, carpentry, metal smithing, tool building, and tool maintenance that traditional wooden boats command. This ultimate DIY project continues beyond the boat shop, as Steve and crew travel and learn to cruise aboard the handmade wooden boat that they've built. Just kidding about all that, this channel is about a Siberian Laika named Akiva. -------------------------- If you are interested in supporting/helping here are a few ways: https://www.acorntoarabella.com/how-to-help Acorn to Arabella's wishlist: https://www.acorntoarabella.com/wishlistpriority TotalBoat supports A2A! Look closer.Yes, it’s a Sauvage 34 — but not the one you think. This is the Sauvage 34 Spider.Same hull, a completely new vision. At the bow, the chaise longue is longer, softer, more refined — designed to be lived, not just seen.Above, the roof is fully integrated with the windshield and can be completely closed, even on the sides, creating a protected and sophisticated space. Almost like a sports car… but on the water. On deck and below, every detail steps up: leather handrails, smarter storage, refined finishes. The hull remains the same, but the sporty attitude is taken to the next level. That’s the Spider concept: exclusivity, aerodynamic lines, and a single windshield for improved performance. Ranieri Sauvage 34 Spider.Same Sauvage soul.

‘Starlight’ is a 2007 Catalina 309, listed exclusively for sale with YOTI in Sydney. https://www.yoti.com.au/listing/catalina-309-starlight A highly successful and proven cruising yacht, ‘Starlight’ offers an excellent layout and presents in fantastic condition. Catalina yachts are well known for their generous space and volume both on deck and below, and the 309 is a standout model in the range. It delivers an enjoyable sailing experience—clearly shown in our video—while remaining comfortable and practical for day sailing or spending a few nights onboard. Although branded as a 309, the yacht has a length overall of 32.75ft, making her a very manageable size without compromising on interior space. On deck, the sail plan is simple and easy to handle, featuring an in-mast furling mainsail in good condition and a furling headsail, making getting underway quick and stress-free. The yacht is also equipped with a lightly used asymmetric spinnaker. The cockpit is a real highlight, with full-length cockpit cushions, raised aft seating ideal for entertaining extra guests, and a relaxed, sociable layout. Down below, ‘Starlight’ offers a comfortable two-cabin layout with a double berth forward and a double aft to starboard. The saloon and galley spaces are surprisingly generous, creating an inviting area for cooking, dining, and relaxing. The saloon table can be lowered to form an additional berth if you were to get the appropriate legs and cushions for that setup. Refrigeration is excellent for a boat of this size, with a large side-opening Waeco fridge with freezer section, plus an additional cool box. Power comes from a well-maintained Yanmar 20hp engine with just 471 hours, most recently serviced in January 2026. The yacht has spent the majority of her life on Sydney Harbour and, in current ownership, has been kept on a dock berth, making ongoing maintenance and upkeep straightforward. Most recently having an antifoul and propspeed done in January 2026. In recent years, ‘Starlight’ has benefited from numerous upgrades, including a new battery bank, new Jabsco toilet, boom tent, EPIRB, fenders and mooring lines, cockpit table, wheel and instrument covers, new anchor and chain, LED lighting conversion, and other continual improvements. This is a versatile and well-presented yacht, equally suited to twilight racing, relaxed weekend cruising with family and friends, or simply escaping onto the water. For further information or to arrange an inspection on her marina berth in Sydney Harbour, please contact Ross Price. info@yoti.com.au 0491318470 Disclaimer: All information contained herein has been provided by the Vendor, or sources YOTI consider reliable. Koa e Kea is a Philippe Briand design, built in the Marc Pinta yard in La Rochelle France. The hull is strengthened by 1” of Airex high density closed cell foam. The yacht was purchased in Tunisia, and brought to Malta for a $1.4M spare-no-expense refit. Philippe Briand redesigned the cabin top and salon, increasing headroom and luxury while also strengthening the hull. The interior was built using Artkonboard, a lightweight cored panel material, with attention to keeping the boat light. It is covered in teak or sycamore venee sourced from a single, hand selected Burmese log. Everything installed on the yacht was selected of the highest quality, from the Antal rigging to the Villeroy & Bach sink. Relaunched in October 2013, Koa E Kea sailed extensively in the Med, where it was not uncommon to cruise at 10-12 knots on a reach with only the genoa set. Flat and relaxing in the cockpit, with the board up she sails through waters one meter deep! Drop the daggerboard and raise the main, and she can point as high as 30 degrees with speeds in the high teens! On deck, she was designed to be handled from the cockpit with single line reefing in the main, all headsails on roller furlers, and an electric winch to make it easy. The salon table is a small oval cocktail type which turns and splits to accept two leaves, becoming a dining table for four. With a push of a button, the table drops on its electrical pedestal to disappear under the sole. The interior space was designed to be organic, no corners, all round shapes and curves. There are 3 Fusion stereos connected to 17 speakers. The salon has 4 speakers and a subwoofer for listening to music, and another 4 speakers and a sub for watching movies. The cockpit features two speakers, and the aft cabin has 4 speakers and subwoofer. The cockpit pillows are covered with a $265/yard Sunbrella leopard print, no expense was spared! The boat comes with many spare parts, tools, and accessories. Spares include a high pressure water pump for the 190L/hr watermaker, autopilot actuator, and 2 Brompton folding bicycles. This trimaran has a new sails: fully batten main, jib, and genoa. The boat is ready to go, worldwide, owner is offering delivery at $2/nm plus expenses.
