The goal is to get at least 1 good, clean fuel tank. Then we need to fill the clean tank with fresh diesel and get that diesel all the way back to the engine so that we can HOPEFULLY get the engine running again. With a combination of hose, pump, drill, and fly swatter, we're able to complete the tank at hand. This French family, who lived in Panama for 17 years, decided to embark on a round-the-world sailing trip after purchasing an Outremer 5X. This project, which has been carefully thought out since they met, became a reality when the first edition of the GLY World Odyssey was announced. We spent 3 weeks in Cascais and had a wonderful time. While we were there our friends Kim and Vin from Heron showed up. It also happened that Kim, Leontien and Vin all had their birthdays in the same week. Needless to say there was lots of partying going on. We also made new friends with Egbert of Blue Heron and Alex of Cold Feet. So the parties were even bigger and crazier. Lots of laughs. In the end we had to say goodbye to all. We left first to head to the Algarve. Heron was leaving for the Canaries before crossing to Surinam. So we won't see them for a while. Egbert and Alex were going further as well.
