94 year old Jessie Varalyay was married to legendary Snipe boatbuilder Lou Varalyay. She talks about Lou's love of working with wood and his attention to the details that made the Snipes that he and his brother Ted created the boats of choice in the 30's, 40's & 50's.

Eric did most of his sailing on the West Coast and around his home fleet in Alamitos Bay. He's a strong supporter of getting junior sailors involved in the Class. In fact, he started sailing with his daughter when she was a junior and has been sailing with her for over 30 years.

With the majority of the AST hitting the ground in Holland for the Detla Lloyd Regatta the first stop was Rotterdam to unpack the containers and get the boats up to Medemblik.

Jerry Thompson started sailing Snipes in 1953. In the intervening years he's competed in 46 Nationals and many more international regattas. Jerry talks about the Varalyay brothers who built his first boat and some exciting times that he's had out on the race course.

Arden Zinn started sailing Snipes in Michigan in the early 1950's in a boat that had previously been used by his older sister. Arden had success in those early years, but always felt the Snipe was a family boat - one that you can have a good time sailing whether you are 16 or 65.

The St. Francis Yacht Club combined two of their best dinghy regattas into one weekend of fast, highly competive racing. The weather was not what you'd expect for May on San Francisco Bay but that didn't keep the quality of the racing or the competition from being exceptional.

The 2009 OAMPS Australian Youth Sailing Team took part in a training camp in Brisbane in April. The team will be competing in the 2009 ISAF Volvo Youth Sailing World Championship in Brazil in June

Drama Queen, a 12m Dazcat racer cruiser won the MOCRA class in her first ever race, RWYC's Plymouth-Falmouth-Fowey (aka Triangle) Race at the beginning of May 2009.
