Last week we have enjoyed a week of diving in the Solomon Islands. We flew via Brisbane to Honiara and then on to Munda in the Western Province with a group of 18 divers! Our group was split over 4 boats with 2 guides and a boat driver each and explored sites like the Airacobra, Wildcat and Dauntless plane wrecks, the Kashi Maru wreck as well as lots of wall dives and the best dive of the trip: Mbigo Mbigo with lots of sharks, manta rays and eagle rays! We had some rough weather along the way, which is very unusual for this time of the year, but the diving was still absolutely incredible! :)

This is our 1st attempt to leave for our epic adventure to the Bahamas! We sadly weren't able to leave today, because we woke up to snow, but still made the best of it. We leave the coast of Sardinia and cross the Tyrrhenian Sea to Sicily. We are super lucky to catch a pretty big Tuna that happily feeds us for the next few weeks! Once we arrive in Sicily, we have to leave L’Attitude Adjustment in a marina for a week as we head off to the Madeira Islands for Adam to do some work (and top up the bank account…). Once we return, we head North to the Aoelian islands which are spectacular! Definitely get there if you can. We then head for the Messina strait where we begin our crossing to Croatia. In this vlog, we anchor our sailboat under sail at Ten Bay Beach in Eleuthera without using the diesel engine. It's really not all that hard, but it does take a bit of forethought and good communication between crew members. Also, we enjoy the afternoon at a lovely little area called Ten Bay Beach. Excellent beach, lot's of little shells, and good holding as well. From there, we get underway towards Governor's Harbour. We have a great sail even though the wind is a bit strong. No matter... with 2 reefs in the main and about 25% of the headsail out, we still make a solid 6.5 knots towards our destination, even though we get a bit drenched in a surprise shower. This is an annual event that is hosted by our yacht club, and that we try to support each year. And although its essentially about racing that doesn't tell the whole story. So this year whilst Ian raced Seahorse in class 1 Hannah went sailing with her father, on board Pintail and they entered class 3, for the more cruiser orientated competitor.
