Day 2 in Marseille turned out to be a day for more social activities as there was no wind for sailing, but the GC32 Racing Tour sailors stayed positive that conditions would come good for Day 3 of Marseille One Design.

In October 2017 I did a dive-safari in Egypt on the Golden Dolphin 2. Our plan was to dive at the Brother Islands (Small and Big Brother), Daedalus Reef and Elphinstone. Unfortunately it was not possible to dive at Elphinstone due to strong weather conditions. However the dives we did at the Brother Islands were absolutely stunning. All in all we had five species of shark: Oceanic White-Tip Shark Thresher Shark Grey Reef Shark White-Tip Reef Shark Scalloped Hammerhead Shark But I was not able to capture every encounter. Easily accomplished while anchored in eight feet of crystal clear turquoise water with the occasional ray cruising by. Likely commuting from Stingray City - a small spit of sand where they congregate daily. Waiting to be fed by the tourists. So eager and conditioned that they will nuzzle up to you as soon as you jump in. But we don't lounge for long. One of the peaks overlooking the anchorage was whispering to us. Come test me. I have gorgeous views and a killer ascent. What could go wrong? What followed is one of our most epic memories in French Polynesia. A scramble to the top of Mount Rotui. A monster of a ridge. One that disappears into the clouds. Each thing we'd read about this hike was the same. Bring lots of water. Three litres each. Start at dawn and making the summit is a 50/50 chance. The procedure for alerting other vessels of your position in thick fog is one long blast of your horn not more than 2 minutes apart. As summer comes to an end, we turn around and head back to Gibraltar - our winter home ... And we get to fly the parasailor. Second addition - our first was blocked after 1200 views.

All hands on deck!! It's the ladies that power the boat this week and we must say, they absolutely nailed it! Adam was severely outnumbered but secretly he loved every minute... We then get the boat lifted out at the marina in Lefkas where the bottom of the hull has to get re-painted. Long story... As it was actually only done 6 months ago but hey! Shit happens. Then we race against the clock and the terrible headwind, to get to Corinth in time to pick up some friends to cross the Corinth Canal and cruise the rest of Greece with us. And so begins the journey back to the US… for us it’s no easy feat - sailing several hundred miles, hitching a ride, a bus trip, Uber ride, rental car, border crossing and long drive through the mountain and finally we arrive at our destination! We spend a day in San Diego getting repairs done and doing some marine restocking before making the long journey back to San Felipe with all of our things in tow… All a part of the cruising life! A couple of things: --I forgot to buy the Avas before starting to film, my bad --i was lagging a lot, and I think it was the recording destroying my processor(i only have an i3) and making the fps drop like panties. --I only recorded like 10 mins because the lag --I had 1 T2 crit and 2 T2 mana and life leech --I started to solo this place at level 210 or 220, it is risky, but doable. We're crossing the Gulf Stream once again. In this video, we make a big mistake... ...we go back to the States. Well, that's my (Ben's) opinion anyways. Yes, it's sad but true. We cross the Gulf Stream from East to West and we wind up back in the land of brown water. It's actually a little more complicated than that because it really takes us 2 attempts to safely cross the Gulf Stream. The first time to try it, the swell was just ridiculous once we got 5 miles away from Bimini, so we turned around and spend 1 extra night in the Bahamas. It wasn't as great as it sounds though because the anchorage was very rolly. Ah well. The next day we get up and the seas had calmed down. Unfortunately the wind had also disappeared, so a motorboat ride it was as we made the 75 miles crossing from Bimini to West Palm. Lastly, I hope you can still enjoy the video even though a massive booger is visible during a good portion of the footage. That's all. Thanks for watching!! After securing our boat on the West coast of Florida, we travel to the East Coast of Florida to wait out Hurricane Irma with friends. Flooding, down trees, tornados and power outages left the St. Augustine barrier island ravaged. We spent three days helping friends and family clean up debris and then we trekked back to the boat to see what kind of water damage we may have incurred on the boat.
