WINTERIZING MY 1988 PEARSON 33 SAILBOAT.

Shane took the kids out for a SUP camping trip on the Snoqualmie River. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't ideal, but the kids were troopers. Thankfully the pouring rain didn't last long. You can see Shane was able to load up the tent, sleeping bags, etc. plus our boys on the one SUP - thanks to Airhead SUP! That big board really comes in handy. Honestly, I'm not too bummed I sat this one out- I did really miss them and it looks like they had a great time. We'll have to get a light and easy tent for four (and sleeping bags for four) someday for future family trips... On our way to the Bahamas we stopped in Utah for a few days to visit family! We knew there was a chance we would get stuck there if it snowed, but we were lucky it didn't last long. We don't get snow that often in Oregon, so it was fun to do things like shovel snow and build a snowman. Randall claimed he had never shoveled snow before, and that this was his first time! WHAT?? We sail from Iraklion to Rethymno where we explore parts of Crete together with our friends Martin & Rudy who are on holiday on the island. We didn't have the chance to visit the villages on Santorini when we where there earlier and decide to make up for that by taking the fast ferry from Rethymno.

Nachdem wir uns im Pool abgekühlt hatten, machten wir einen Spaziergang durch den Ort und bestaunten den See, das Tempelgelände, die besondere Holzarchitektur der Bergwelt, den dortigen Food-Market und ließen uns das Pad Thai eines kleinen Lokals schmecken. Im Anschluss genossen wir die kleine Tee- und Kaffee-Ecke unseres Guesthouses direkt am See.In den Tempeln am See fand abends eine ganz andere Art der Zeremonie statt.
