Support Tally Ho here - http://sampsonboat.co.uk/support-tally-ho I'm on a mission to restore a historic classic sailing yacht called Tally Ho. In this video I talk about why I am rebuilding this boat, when it would probably be easier to just build a new one. I also get some help to take off all the deck planks and demolish the deck beams, and I consider the next stages of work. I am considering starting a Patreon account. Please let me know if you think this is a good idea. Sailing Across the Pacific - A month at sea – Sailing the Pacific Episode 17 In this episode we sail 4210 miles non-stop from Panama to Fatu Hiva in the Marquesas. A journey taking over a month, our biggest challenge yet. We are a British couple who set off from England in 2016 to fulfill our dream of sailing around the world on our 37ft sail boat, Florence. Along the way we share the live aboard lifestyle with the highs and lows of travelling around the world by boat, our own little tiny house. Boat life out at sea on the ocean and off the grid. PART 1 of a 2 part series - Sailing With A Heart ! In this series, Guy Kane the flying vet lands his sea plane and we tie it off behind Impi before setting off to evaluate Moose the abandoned island dog. You may have heard of the ABANDONED ISLAND DOG called MOOSE! Impi is sailing around the world and New Caledonia has become our most 'returned to country', not only for its beauty and amazing friendships forged, but also largely because of one abandoned island dog called Moose (Mouss). We did a video of our discovery of Moose after friends Carolin and Rob from New Zealand told us about him - you can see that video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzBDS... He hunts for food - he survives - see him in the sequel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4dYi... We sailed from New Zealand back to New Caledonia - that passage can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KW_O... we then sailed back for a 2nd season to find Moose really struggling for survival after getting 'heart worm'. We appealed to our YouTube community to help and this partly financed a Flying Vet called Guy Kane to fly in treat him. That video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9hk7... Our 3rd season is what this video is all about - and as with all living things we eventually become old and Moose is no exception to the rule. The dilemma we now face is to discover when the appropriate time would be to remove Moose from his island and persuade the authorities to allow him to be moved to a land based home. We have debated this issue with some authorities here in New Caledonia and were advised that after numerous attempts to remove Moose from his island - they eventually decided to leave him there because he displayed such an unwillingness to go! Now we have engaged Guy Kane, the flying vet who regularly treats Moose against pain to ask for his opinion. We hope this movie will mean something to you all - Moose certainly is a very unique and special dog and considering his future really is one that tugs on our heartstrings. Folks - Impi is engaged in as many 'care projects' as possible. We therefore kindly ask for you to subscribe to our channel so we are taken more seriously when it comes to our care projects. We are not a couple who search for numbers for 'a pat on the back' - we do not earn one cent from our social media platform - every cent goes into welfare. DOWN UNDER RALLY GROUP: Speaking of welfare, we would ask all sailors sailing between New Caledonia and Australia to please consider joining the Down Under Rally Group (John and Leanne Hembrow) - for every yacht that sails in their rally, they make a small donation to our animal welfare program and every cent helps.

We started the voyage back home from Uki and we were choosing next stop between already familiar cottage in Kustavi or Laura Peterzens harbor in Parattula, also in Kustavi. On the way we suddenly found S/Y Diana from the middle of the Mist that made our voyage little bit exciting.
I make my way to Las Palmas to link up with A Sailing Adventure as we prep the yacht for her transatlantic voyage..
Bem vindos a bordo !!! Bandeira branca no mar !!! 🏳️🏳️🏳️ Boa semana e aproveitem a vida do jeito que lhe convém !!!! bons ventos 🌬⛵️🛥 Apoie nosso canal: https://www.patreon.com/sailingaroundtheworld https://apoia.se/sailingaroundtheworld ********** Pagina no Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/sailingaw/ ********** Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thaiscanado/ https://www.instagram.com/google_golden/ https://www.instagram.com/SailingAW/ Abraços e Bons Ventos! Come fare un ormeggio di poppa in un marina - In questo video di IO Navigo una lezione sull'ormeggio di poppa, poche regole per ormeggiare in sicurezza con barche dotate di S Drive o di linea d'asse all'interno di un marina. Whether you are short handed and trying to get a man back on board your boat in local waters or fully crewed trying to get a man back on board an ocean racer in the Southern ocean it will be easier if he has a MOB Lifesaver fitted to his lifejacket. With a Lifesaver he has the means of retrieval back on board stowed within his own lifejacket. We don't go down to him, he comes up to us. The video gives the Full Story on Lifesavers and includes the MOB retrieval rig that we use on our Hallberg Rassy 352. Plus information on retrieving MOBs to motorboats.
This week the painting of the hull continues. The second color gets added and you get a sneak peek of it (although the boat is still masked off for painting) We see some progress on the mast being set up to accept our hardware and we make a trip to the sail loft to get new slugs put on the sail for the inbound sail track on the mizzen. We also get a quote for re-fiberglassing the decks. We have removed the old teak decks, we have repaired a lot of core that needed it and now it is a matter of giving it a few new layers of skin to reduce possible leaks in the 7000 screw holes from the teak decks. Join us on our journey as we continue to rebuild, refit and prepare our Formosa 51 Sailboat for our continued cruising journey. We have always loved the Formosa, bought one (on a bit of a whim) late in 2014, moved aboard this one right away and started to do our refit while living board. We are avid fans of Cruising Outpost and Good Ole Boat (Good Old Boat) magazines and love the ideas we get from them. Building a cruising sailboat In this video, the frame at station 4 is completed. The boat utilises a hard-chined, plywood construction and this design of boat is a proven, capable, ocean-going vessel. Boat building with plywood is a relatively easy and cost-effective way to produce a strong, monocoque-style boat hull. These videos aim to show the way in which I go about it. One of the top archaeological site in Greece, and certainly a place to be getting spiritual. The beautiful Delphi! We are making our way to the Corinth canal with family on board. Some of these places on the way are just stunning. Join our journey as we review the best places and share our experiences sailing and boat schooling as a family. We are the Robbins family sailing on our boat named Nikau. We are a family of 5. Our 3 kids are doing NZ correspondence school on board. They are growing to love it! What's not to love about 3 hours of school a day and then a different playground for the afternoon every day! We've traveled from New Zealand to Sardinia in Italy to pick up our boat and we plan over a few seasons to sail her back to New Zealand. We hope you enjoy following us on our adventures! We would love to hear from you. Especially if you are interested in doing something crazy like we are! Maybe we can help answer some questions you have? Thanks and enjoy.
We're shooting down south again to San Diego, to get under the snowy rockies before heading North East to Dawn's Mum's Cheesy Potatoes and Turkey Dinner!
The latest 34 from Dehler is everything you expect from this iconic premium German boat builder. Strength and stiffness is achieved through the extensive use of carbon in the substantial subframe, whilst allowing the engineers to keep the weight to a level that continues the impressive sailing characteristics. The deck and cockpit layout lends itself to both shorthanded cruising and crewed sailing, whilst giving you the opportunity to tweak and tune the sail plan to your heart's content. Inside you get the premium quality expected from a Dehler. Beautifully crafted furniture, combined with clever design, space and light. If you aspire to own a yacht that will give you the sheer enjoyment of sailing and superb engineering - look no further
Judel & Vrolijk have once again put all their experience & knowledge into a truly remarkable design. The new Dehler 38 introduces new window lines, enhancing her sporty looks and simultaneously letting more light into the cabin. A narrowed side deck allows a raised coachroof resulting in more headroom and the widest saloon in her class. Winner of the European Yacht of the Year [Performance Cruiser] the Dehler 38 has already proved to be a phenomenally successful boat.
You can only build a yacht like the Dehler 46 if you are a sailor through and through. Only someone whose first thought when they wake up and their last thought at night is this wonderful sport is obsessed enough to fine-tune every detail to perfection. As pioneers in the German GRP boat building we at Dehler have been doing this for over 50 years and the results make our customers and employees equally proud.
The new Dehler 42 designed by Judel and Vrolijk with inspiration from Karl Dehler himself, is the middle sister of the European Yacht of the Year Dehler 38 and the equally decorated flagship 46. She embodies the same credentials as her sisters with new window lines giving a sporty look and bringing a light interior. Down below there is a wonderful feeling of space and comfort with an ergonomically designed galley and larger forward owners cabin.
Cruising at a leisurely pace or racing competitively? If you want both, you do not have to compromise with the Dehler 32. The Dehler 32 appeals to yachtsmen around with world with its attractive, modern design, efficient deck layout, premium interior and last but not least excellent sailing qualities. It does not matter whether you are sailing short-handed, with the family or with a full crew - this performance yacht is easy to handle and her course is maintained effortlessly in all weather conditions with the aid of the high-performance T-keel and the highly efficient sail plan. The Dehler 32 is a quality yacht for competitive skippers.

We are so excited to finally be starting our sailing adventure to the Bahamas! We covered the truck and sailing canoe with tarps to prevent anyone from messing with our stuff while we are away before leaving the Riverside Marina in Fort Pierce, Florida. We have only anchored all night once before in Coos Bay, Oregon, just to see what it was like. Randall didn't sleep much that night, but Turtle did great! So this is technically our second time anchoring, but our first time on our trip. We found a nice spot next to a sandy beach the night before leaving and decided if other boats were anchored there, it must be a good spot! ....little did we know it wouldn't be. We also used our Katadyn PowerSurvivor 40E Water Maker for the first time! It was working great at first, then we noticed it started making a strange sound and was spraying water into the v-birth, getting everything wet! Randall took it all apart, but couldn't find anything wrong with it. 💦 Broken Water maker Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7V-NArLolJg&t=71s During the night we woke up because the boat felt like it was ridding weird on the anchor rode. We soon found that the rode had wrapped the keel during slack tide and now the tide was going out at 2 knots! It was quite the ordeal to figure out how to get the boat free, but we managed. We haven't had to go through anything like that before, so it was new and kinda scary. *********************************************************************** THANK YOU for watching our videos and for SUBSCRIBING to our YouTube channel!
