Several of you requested more details on the sculling oar I use. In this vid I talk about the size and construction of the oar, where I stow it at sea, and how I deploy it with an oriental lanyard.

In this episode we go and explore Hoorn and find out about it’s fascinating history before having an eventful sail on the Markenmeer en route to Volendam. We borrowed some bikes and headed into town to explore. Whilst staying at Marina Volendam we also checked out the local windmill before heading back along the canal system to Ijmuiden and the North Sea! Join us next time we head out into the North Sea again and face our first time alone in open water! We are heading south to find some warmer weather! We’re a youngish couple originally from the UK that decided that life was too short after we had to deal with some tough and difficult times. So, we followed our dreams and bought a boat to go and see a bit more of our world. Episode 17 We start cutting out our openings in our galley and the process of how we do it, as well as epoxy her in place. We also make the openings behind our starboard side saloon seating. We show you guys the conditions we have to work in, as well as start planning on where we will be putting our lights. Ricky routers our saloon seating area for a more rounded finish and starts sanding some of the fillets and once again we do more epoxying and painting. W trakcie 71 dni poza kołem podbiegunowym Michał żeglował na Spitsbergenie, gdzie jego jacht Crystal przekroczył równoleżnik 80 N. W drodze na południe odwiedził też wysepkę Jan Mayen, oraz 10 dni eksplorował grenlandzki Scoresby Sund. W tym największym na świecie systemie fiordów udało się opłynąć gigantyczną wyspę Milne. Michałowi udało się zrealizować wszystkie założenia i wyprawa zakończyła się wielkim sukcesem. Rejs został wyróżnienie przez Radę Kolosów, oraz Jury Rejs Roku. Anfangs sieht man seine Eltern, den Journalisten und Verleger Erich Lezinsky (1886 - 1952) und dessen Gattin Margarete. Alle auf einer der ersten Nachkriegsreisen an den Bodensee und Richtung Lichtenstein. Später Winterferien an unbekanntem Ort mit Freunden. Ab der Mitte des Videos diverse Aufnahmen von Segelfreuden an der Havel in Berlin Spandau mit Söhnchen Rainer. Das alles wohl 1951. Pardon für die schreckliche Musik, die wurde beim Überspielen von Normal 8 auf DVD vor Jahren raufgetan... Teilweise gelöscht. Einfach leise stellen.

In this episode we receive a design from Jeff H. to assist us with a temporary support for our baby stay until we can procure a permanent fix. This is in preparation for the next leg of our voyage. Our boat came with a new bosun's chair and a new safety harness which we have never used. Vin was preparing to go up the mast but Amy insisted that ascend instead since she only weighs 120 lbs...and it is the first time Amy has ever climbed the mast on a bosun's chair and safety harness. Vin used the safety harness attached to the foresail halyard and the bosuns chair to the mainsail halyard. The purpose: to rig an extra support for the babystay until a permanent fix can be accomplished. We hope you like it! Constructing a mast and sprit for a Chameleon sailing dinghy seems like a simple affair, but it's actually quite complex. It takes a lot of effort to plane a 12' long 4x4 post into a 12' long 2" diameter mast. The process also creates an extraordinary amount of wood chips as well. Wow, what a mess. I cheated a bit on the sprit by using 1.5" round pine stock. The end product turned out absolutely wonderful. After the parts were built, I applied 5 coats of varnish. Shoot, just this step alone takes the better part of a week - sanding each coat once dry before the next is applied. Still, now that the parts are finished, they are just gorgeous to look at. All in all, I feel like I've done a good job at building these sailing components, and now the little boat is one BIG step closer to becoming a genuine, tiny sailing dinghy. Thanks for watching!! All Technora fiber construction of the ZZ 04 and ZZ 06 combined with our UV absorber in the adhesive assures excellent UV resistance and flex durability. The ZZ 09, ZZ 15, and ZZ 18 styles all step up to the higher modulus Twaron black warp fibers for added performance in these radial laminates while still using the Technora black for the fill. Designed for radial applications the ZZ styles from 06 to 18 all have 750 denier Technora at 12˚ off the warp. For applications where added durability is required, we offer the ZZ 09, ZZ 15 and ZZ 18 styles with a one side taffeta option. If the anodes are not used the propeller will deteriorate into an irreversible state which for bronze propellers can result in the zinc being removed from the propeller and it becoming brittle.
