The Weather Gods just keep turning on beautiful days!! New Years Eve Eve Cruise! The snapper are still in abundance so there was lots of action during the fishing. A dinner time story by one of our guests sure did have Sam and Sonja in stitches! Unfortunately it is time to lift our Trampi again after 4 months. We have water in the transmission oil, which must be urgently repaired. Besides Mario repairs our damage at the rudder blade, sticks generally the rudder bearing again and decides to renew the just 4 months old Antifouling... Our Summer at Fishermans Village in Punta Gorda, Florida getting our Endeavour 40 ready to sail full time. Few things went according to plan, or budget. We lived aboard, in a marina, while we completed repairs. Not an easy adjustment!

We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, fifteen months after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. Discover with us the Tao rituals of the Langkawi Thean Hou Temple during the 1st anniversary celebration of the new temple. Part 3 covers the morning events on Monday 17th of December 2018. Highlights were the cleaning and revitalizing of the Deities, Mediums going into trance, healing sessions and the rituals associated with preparing the pyre for the evening fire walking ceremony. Thanks to Joe Foo and Uncle & Auntie Bennie for inviting us to experience and share the events of the Celebration. Acordamos super animados, às 4h da manhã e partimos depois de uma tapioca (nada de estômago vazio para não enjoar!). Saímos avistando o farol da Ponta de Castelhanos, sob uma lua nova, o que clareou bastante nossa viagem, me deixando tranquila em enxergar (quase) tudo. Pouco depois já estávamos em Sepetiba e o dia começou a raiar. O nascer do sol foi lindo e eu aproveitei para deixar o Sergio descansar enquanto ainda tinha pilha. Passamos por vários navios no porto de Sepetiba e fomos no rumo 080. Cruzamos poucos navios e não encontramos nada de vento. Motoramos boa parte, passamos por Marambaia e avistamos os prédios da Barra da Tijuca antes de qualquer ponto do Rio de Janeiro. Depois, eu tirei um cochilinho e logo já avistamos o Pão de Açúcar, o que fez o ânimo a bordo explodir de alegria. Entramos na baía da Guanabara e vi lugares inéditos: Praia Vermelha, os fortes, Niterói... Foi muito legal! Chegar na Urca foi super tranquilo e as poitas pareceram bastante seguras. Adoramos essa experiência de ancorar na cidade. Amei ter vindo pra cá!

The boat utilises a hard-chined, plywood construction and this design of boat is a proven, capable, ocean-going vessel.
