It was another late day of sailing on the penultimate day of Sail Melbourne International (13-16 December 2018) with only the Finn, Nacra 17/15, Opti and BicTechno classes getting some racing in.

Racing at Sail Melbourne International 2018 wrapped up with a full final day of racing across all Olympic and Invited class fleets.

The inaugural Australian Para Sailing Championships were held as part of Sail Melbourne International 2018. The first-time event featured Australia’s best para-sailors with Australian Para-Sailing Champions determined in four classes, including the Hansa 303 one-person, Hansa 303 two-person, the 2.4mR as well as the SKUD 18.

Nous sommes partis quelques jours à Mohéli, la plus petite île de l'archipel des Comores. Connue pour son environnement préservé, ses roussettes (chauve-souris) de Livingstone, son parc naturel, Mohéli a su garder son côté sauvage et développer le tourisme en misant sur la création d'association de préservation du patrimoine. Des guides nous accueillent sur chaque site et nous organisent des visites des lieux comme les cascades, les plages perdues, les lacs, le tout dans une langue française maîtrisée. Nous nous sommes vraiment épanouis durant ce voyage. After crossing the Atlantic at the same time as 10 other kid boats, Barbados was a riot of colour, fun and socialising. Carlisle Bay where we were all anchored just off Bridgetown also has an amazing marine park of 6 wrecks dated from WW1 and 2 through to recently, these made for great snorkeling and easy first dives for some of the kids. Then it was off to Grenada with some of our friends on Boag, Mrs Chippy and Spacegrazer, together we made up a group of 21 - 8 adults and 13 kids! We managed to find a 21 seater bus to explore the amazing tropical island of spice that is Grenada. We swam over natural waterslides in the jungle, visited the organic chocolate factory and a rum distillery still using its original water wheel from 1874, we clambered in the last Cuban airlines plane abandoned here in the conflict of 1983 and fed wild monkeys in the forests of Mt Etang - we are just loving exploring these great islands with our cruising friends - watch and enjoy!! We are the Robbins family sailing on our boat named Nikau. We are a family of 5. Our 3 kids are doing NZ correspondence school on board. They are growing to love it! What's not to love about 3 hours of school a day and then a different playground for the afternoon every day! We've traveled from New Zealand to Sardinia in Italy to pick up our boat and we plan over a few seasons to sail her back to New Zealand. We hope you enjoy following us on our adventures! It's now less than 4 months to go before Chloe's Launch in Cherbourg and we' are touring from Istanbul, south through Northern Greece, to Athens. We hit Meteora and were blown away!

This video is about Sailing Tuamotus 1, Makemo, French Polynesia, South Pacific, Ep 47A, Off the Starboard Hull in a Lagoon 400 S2 catamaran. A Canadian Couple from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada left from Parksville July 21, 2016 to sail around the world in their Lagoon 400 S2 catamaran. See how they get along, who they meet and where they end up going. They have a 10 year estimated time line, but a very open agenda. Our last video about arriving in Hiva Oa was in April 2018. We landed in Makemo in May and visited 5 other atolls, Kauehi, Fakarava (great night shark dive in the south pass), Toau, Apataki (huge surf) and the biggest atoll Rangiroa. Then we were in the societies (Tahiti, Huahine, Tahaa, Bora Bora, Maupiti and Maupihaa) which was a nice blend of atoll and island. Maupiti was our favourite place. Then we went to Swarrow, a nature reserve with 2 resident rangers in the Cook Islands. Then we went to the island country of Niue with unlimited underwater visibility, pristine coral, baby humpback whales, caverns and chasms. Breathtaking! From there, we traveled to Neiafu (with dozens of protected anchorages), Pangai in the Haipai region and Nuku’alofa, all 3 regions in Tonga. Next was Minerva Reef for 20 hours before we embarked on the notorious passage to NZ. Since Nov 12 2018, we have been in Opua New Zealand and are loving the friendly people, the lovely Bay of Islands and the access to materials and shops to do some boat projects.

After leaving The Percy Islands we sailed first to Scawfell Island then on to Brampton Island, which is now an abandoned resort. We encounter a Humpback Whale and calf on the way. We show a couple of boat jobs we did previously, namely fixing the Paguro Generator and remounting the deck wash pump.

Ormeggiamo a Sami e il giorno seguente ne approfittiamo per andare a visitare la Grotta di Melissani, la cittadina di Argostoli con le sue tartarughe Caretta Caretta e Fiskardo, a nord dell'isola. Continuiamo a risalire, ancoriamo nuovamente nella baia di Vathi (Itaka), passiamo la notte a Nydri e, dopo aver passato il Canale di Lefkada, ormeggiamo a Parga. Ma la vacanza non è ancora finita!
