This video is about Sailing Tuamotus 2, French Polynesia, South Pacific, Ep 47B, Off the Starboard Hull in a Lagoon 400 S2 catamaran. A Canadian Couple from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada left from Parksville July 21, 2016 to sail around the world in their Lagoon 400 S2 catamaran. See how they get along, who they meet and where they end up going. They have a 10 year estimated time line, but a very open agenda. Our last video about arriving in Hiva Oa was in April 2018. We landed in Makemo in May and visited 5 other atolls, Kauehi, Fakarava (great night shark dive in the south pass), Toau, Apataki (huge surf) and the biggest atoll Rangiroa. Then we were in the societies (Tahiti, Huahine, Tahaa, Bora Bora, Maupiti and Maupihaa) which was a nice blend of atoll and island. Maupiti was our favourite place. Then we went to Swarrow, a nature reserve with 2 resident rangers in the Cook Islands. Then we went to the island country of Niue with unlimited underwater visibility, pristine coral, baby humpback whales, caverns and chasms. Breathtaking! From there, we traveled to Neiafu (with dozens of protected anchorages), Pangai in the Haipai region and Nuku’alofa, all 3 regions in Tonga. Next was Minerva Reef for 20 hours before we embarked on the notorious passage to NZ. Since Nov 12 2018, we have been in Opua New Zealand and are loving the friendly people, the lovely Bay of Islands and the access to materials and shops to do some boat projects.Pacific, Ep 47B, Off the Starboard Hull in a Lagoon 400 S2 catamaran

exploring the bahamas - in the water with sharks | 44 | Beau and Brandy Sailing We stick around in Manjack Cay for one more afternoon to go dive on a reef that has a mooring ball. We see some beautiful coral and fish. Beau tries his luck spearfishing but with no luck. He did see a black tip reef shark in the distance, so we decided to call it a day. Before we got back to Saoirse, we made one more stop to check out some shallow water. That's where I saw a group of Caribbean Reef Sharks cruising for lunch. TOO COOL! we made it back to Saoirse with enough light to get over to our next stop. We were visited by a dolphin along the way but it was short lived. Beau and Dan went fishing the next day while Kika and I worked on some video editing. Then we met that night and cooked fish over a campfire. Impi is sailing around the world - this is our 7th year of full time sailing on our catamaran, a Lagoon 440 This video series will be more of interest to those who enjoy sailing in different destinations and not for general tourism purposes. In Episode 5 of SAILING IN TASMANIA, We share some of the beautiful anchorages and sailing attractions between Port Arthur and St Helens on the NE coast of Tasmania. Our sailing views are from Port Arthur to: Sailing around the intrepid Tasman Island (Cape Pillar, Cathedral Rock) Fortescue Bay / Canoe Bay for shelter from bad weather Hen and Chickens ( a dramatic rock and mountain surrounded anchorage on Schouten Island South) Wind Glass Bay and we end with the passage into St Helens. When we googled for some information on entering St Helens (a tricky and sometimes dangerous sand bar crossing) we found little to nothing so we will share a but more about that in our next video, however we do show our planned route from satelite imagery and then also the actual track we 'pulled' as we followed VMR (Volunteer Marine Rescue) in, a service they provide in return for a small donation to their cause. VMR do a great service for folks sailing around Australian waters - the authorities here are amazing! Drone footage: We were advised by a Park Ranger on Mariah Island it is not permitted to fly drones there - fortunately the Park Ranger was close by when we took off so being in full view of him he kindly explained the rules. It is prohibited from flying drones over land in National Park Territories so the only footage we are able to get is from over water looking onto the land apparently and even then one has to have full visual over the drone.
