Found an abundance of soft corals, Three banded Anemone fish (A true Nemo) Angel Fish 3 species of Coral Trout (Coral Groupers to our non native friends) Barramundi Cod Cow tails Stingrays A blue spotted Ribbontail Ray. Multitude of turtles. A school of Humpheaded Parrotfish Just to name a few. I went to visit the Zipline blood delivery service in Rwanda. Over 24000 units of blood delivered so far without incident. I'm amazed the rest of the world isn't doing this yet. They cut the deliver time from 5 hours in the worst case to a maximum of 45 minutes, with most orders delivered in 20. They're were 6 deliveries in the hour and a half I spent onsite.

Wow! What to say. We sailed to so many cool places in a relatively short period of time that it all seemed to blend into one. The winds filled our sails and the sun shone. The water took on the light turquoise color you get when sun and sand bottoms come together. And the food! Such incredible memories.

We finally found out a solution to treat our diesel tank! Torre de Hércules. The Tower of Hercules is an ancient Roman lighthouse on a peninsula about 2.4 km from the centre of A Coruña, Galicia, in north-western Spain. Until the 20th century, the tower itself was known as the "Farum Brigantium". The Latin word farum is derived from the Greek Φάρος Pharos for the Lighthouse of Alexandria. The ancient lighthouse stands at 55m tall and is still used today for navigation. Torre de Hércules is the oldest working lighthouse in Europe The Tower of Hercules is the only Roman lighthouse which, since its origins up to the present, has been performing its original function: being an aid to navigation for ships crossing the Atlantic corridor. This peculiarity makes it an outstanding exponent which bears a unique testimony to the numerous lighthouses erected by civilisations of the past by the sea and which have unfortunately been lost to time, while the Tower of Hercules remains faithful to its mission of guiding the seamen who come face to face with the immensity of the ocean on a daily basis. The lighthouse was most likely built in the second half of the 1st century or the early years of the 2nd century A.D. by the Romans at finis terrae (Latin for ‘end of the world’) of the world known, namely, north-western Hispania, at the mouth of the great Gulf of Artabro, which encompasses the rias of El Burgo, Ares and Ferrol (A Coru&ntilntilde;a, Spain) to guide the ships sailing along the most western coast of the Empire. The location chosen to build it was a rocky hillock, known as Punta Eiras, some 57 metres high, which is between Punta Herminia and Punta del Orzán, thus dominating the northern end of the peninsula on which the city of A Coruña itself rises. This unique construction has a rectangular plan, each side of it measuring approximately 11.75 metres and a total height of 55 metres, of which 34.38 m correspond to the Roman building and 21 to the restoration made in 1789 to modernize the aid to navigation system. Nowadays, the Tower rises on a wide polygonal platform 32.40 metres wide, which is its base. This platform was built in early 19th century. On the outside, the monument has a prismatic structure topped by an octagonal towered section with triangular reinforcement at the corners, thus softening the square plan. This first towered section is followed by another, shorter one which is the base of the lantern where the powerful beacon that lights intrepid seamen is. In this episode Pippi, our four year old, goes kiting ‘koala style’ on Dad’s back. She loves it! We explore Ilot Signal and surf Dumbea Pass and then give you a run down on how we adventure with our trusty tender. Our tender is a 3.1m Sirocco powered by an 18hp 2 stroke Tohatsu outboard with electric and pull start options. It fits well and is not too heavy for our davit system. It’s quick enough to get us up on the plane with all six of us onboard and often loaded with gear too. The kids can also skurf or wakeboard behind it. We are happy with our decision to choose this particular tender and outboard because when you live on the water the tender is your car and you use it every day. We hope you find this insightful. We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted.
