I hope it will inspire and show that it is possible solo! Hope you enjoy! Kayleigh I'm Kayleigh and along with my two dogs Hugo and Coco we will full time on board our 37ft narrowboat Grayswood. After living nearly two years in our self-converted campervan we decided we needed more space. So we decided to purchase a boat after spending some time on our friend’s narrowboat. Grayswood was conveniently located less that 5 minutes from my work and was found kind of by accident. I was visiting a friend who was staying in Aston Marina and whilst we were out walking the dogs, I seen the advert for Grayswood. I said to my friend “that looks a nice boat” and as I said it the marina manager appeared and asked if we would like a look inside. Naturally we did. After looking inside the boat, we made an offer after going back for a second viewing, after some negotiations within a week she was ours pending a survey. She was hauled out the following week and the survey went well. We kept her out on the hard standing for a further six weeks whilst we renovated the insides including fitting a new kitchen and bathroom. I made a plug on a jumpstarter for car so I can use it for my ham radio. It is 10.000 mha lithium batteri and much lighter than a lead battery. In this episode we repair the dinghy as the sides of the floor have come apart from the last test run in the previous video. Make sure when repairing your dinghy you check that its made out of PVC or Hypalon before purchasing the adhesive.

We go sailing and continue with the caulking on "Sobraon" what a massive amount of timber repair work but it will all be worth while in the end.

What a stompin' sail in the Charleston Harbor! We could see the Sullivan's Island Lighthouse and Fort Sumpter as we set the sails jib and jigger with 26+ knots of wind! I get a serious education in sailing as I make my way South. I aim for Rodriguez Key, but end up passing it. Conditions are so good, I keep sailing into the night. It’s a long and hard, but satisfying day, and I probably sail the most miles I have ever sailed at once.

Horrific flooding from 2 days prior left our primary shore diving spot in pretty bad shape. The dive community rallied like we always do to remove 4 truck loads of mulch and logs, 2 garbage bags full of trash, and countless golf balls. We feel so blessed to be a part of such an awesome dive community! Kauai Strong!

Kalaheo is located on the south shore of Kauai. On the morning of 3-12, we experienced torrential downpour leading to flash flooding. There were rivers across the highways, landslides, etc. About an hour after we got home we received the emergency alerts.

Toau, one of the worst pass entries for us as we showed in the last video, turns out to be a beautiful, uninhabited place in Paradise. We enjoy a few lonely days, relax and explore the underwater world and then we have to get out again! Where we went in, it goes out again, we are sure, nevertheless, the nerves are really tense early in the morning. The timing should fit this time perfect and yet the waves already look scry again. This time I don't dare to go forward with the camera, but enjoy the safety of the cockpit while Mario brings us out. Actually, we wanted to continue to Apataki, but the wind is probably still asleep. Accompany us sailing around the world from the very beginning! We are Anne & Marcel, liveaboards on a small sailboat called "Zeezot". We gave away all our possessions that found no place onboard or which are no longer of any use in our new travelling life style. House and apartment are sold and unrented.
