Al of us have never crossed an ocean so we are up for the adventure of our lives. Talisman has a date with the dentist, in a way. We suppose that's probably what it's like for a boat. But the spars are newly coated in blindingly shiny Awlgrip paint, and the results are something to behold. In truth, this wasn't a purely cosmetic upgrade, as corrosion had been creeping in under the old paint and had reached the level of being called out in our latest survey as a corrective item. Vlog #33 While in La Cruz de huanacaxtle we didnt to take a long ride in the dinghy to some uninhabited beaches. the surf was massive and crashing hard onto the beach. I told trav is was a terrible idea but we decided to go in anyway. Landing on the beach was pretty sketchy but we made it. When we looked back out at the water i knew itd be a nightmare getting back out. and ohhhhhh boy, was it ever. we chilled for the day exploring around, swimming and crab hunting and watching the waves hoping they would die down. They didnt at all! We had to get going to we just had to try and attempt it. We almost made it out, we were just passing the break, and i jumped in. a second wave flew it and tipped the boat basically perfectly upright in the air which shut the engine off so we couldnt get over the wave. Trav screamed at me to jump out of the boat and swim away. i dove out and swam as fast as i could while the entire dinghy flipped upside down. it sent all of our belongings flying all over. We flipped the dinghy back the right way anf drug it back up the beach and began scouribg through the water trying to find all of our stuff that went everywhere. Thankfully we brought the drone in a waterproof bag and i had clipped it to the engine as i was anticipating this gracious exit. We found most of our stuff but i lost my shirt, and our dinghy anchor. Now that the engine was swamped it would no longer work so we had to comw up with a new plan to get out of there. Swam it out as far as we could by hand and than trav paddled as fast as he could over thw breaks leaving me behind and telling me to " just swim and catch up" as he was doing thid he broke one of the paddles and had to try an finish with one. hahaha we finally made it out and put up travs tshirt on the oars and sailed all the way back cause we were too lazy to paddle. --------------------------------- *WHO ARE WE?* •We are a Canadian couple, Travis and Jessica. Life at sea has its benefits. Being unplugged from the modern day connections of tv, internet, and the day to day hustle are just some of them. Day 6 of the 36th America’s Cup delivered with the best race of the Cup so far. Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team led for most of the race but just lost it at the end to Emirates Team New Zealand, who moved to Match Point and a lead of 6-3. However, racing was then abandoned for the day, and no doubt the Italians will come back tomorrow fighting fit. Sam Short from Short Marine talks us through the set-up.

Bora fazer um tour nesse barco, o Brasilia 23 é um ótimo barco para cruzeiro, apesar de meio arisco, as vezes. Seu espaco interno é muito bom, cama de proa grande (maior inclusive que alguns veleiros de 27 pés) e isso tira a sensação de confinamento que alguns veleiros desse porte tem. Na Guarapiranga tem um que dá trabalho nas Regatas de MO. No final do vídeo coloquei a ficha técnica e classe de regatas B23.

Levamos o Veleiro Comparsa um Attol 23 pra Santo Antônio de Lisboa, Florianópolis. De São Chico até Penha tive a companhia do meu aluno Cleverson. Condições favoráveis apesar do vento fraco velejamos a maior parte da viagem. Saímos às 4 horas da praia do Forte e chegamos às 18 horas em Penha.

Após uma bela recepção do amigo Sérgio do Espaço Velejar em Armação na praia de Penha, nos reunimos para um bom bate papo com os amigos e um bom churrasco. O novo proprietário do barco veio para embarcar até Santo Antônio de Lisboa, Florianópolis. Zarpamos às 6 horas no domingo com vento Leste contrariando as previsões de terral fraco e velejamos todo o trajeto até o final, fazendo través, alheta e popa rasa em asa de pombo.
