En route vers l'île de Carriacou, nous avons passé une nuit au mouillage de Moliniere qui a la particularité de permettre la visite du musée sous-marin composé de plusieurs statues immergées. Le mouillage, très rouleur, possède 3 bouées pour les visiteurs de passage. Ces bouées sont annoncées comme payantes mais depuis le Covid personne ne passe pour encaisser. Comme c'est une réserve, vous ne pouvez pas jeter l'ancre et si vous décidez de plonger avec des bouteilles pour visiter le musée, vous devez obligatoirement passer par un centre de plongée agrée. Par contre, aucune obligation si vous décidez de le faire en snorkling. Les statues sont immergées entre 3 et 5 mètres de profondeur. Le jour suivant, nous sommes partis en direction de Carriacou et notamment le mouillage de Tyrell Bay.

On our last episode we ran aground again and damaged our new propellers and our rudders this time too. She has to be hauled out to fix her repairs, except the problem is, I have to get her there first. So with zero successful voyages behind me, only one good prop and one working rudder I had to climb back up in that Helm and get us to the boat yard without sinking the boat first. Ryan works long hours but with me (Lauren) unable to work the way I had pre-pandemic, I get asked A LOT by my NYC friends about how I fill my days while living on our Fountaine Pajot 43 Belize sailing catamaran. I found that I was struggling to explain how I spend my day to day, despite feeling like my schedule is quite full. I decided set up the camera and take you all along for the ride I that I simply call my boat life. Disclaimer: In case you catch yourself feeling sorry for me....don't. I didn't set out to film an exceptionally challenging day, but that is exactly what it turned out to be and sometimes you just gotta roll with the punches. I'd say I have days like this only about every 4th day. Other days can be filled with lighter, happy things including exercise, enjoying music jam sessions on the beach, and dancing and dinner with friends. I also don't take for granted the clean, breathable air, the welcoming locals, the wonderfully generous sailing community, the sound of the waves, being barefoot almost all the time, the thriving wildlife, the beautiful blue sky, and the bright stars at night. I remember once- when we were still trying to buy our boat- watching a Youbtube video by Gone with the Wynns and they mentioned how when living on a boat, you can expect pretty much everything you'd do in normal daily life to take 2 to 3 times longer than normal. This couldn't be more true. But you know what? I still feel like it's worth it. So yeah. Now you know where my time goes. And you know what? I'm proud of it. If anything...it builds character. We go on an exciting mini adventure for 5 days for New Years Eve with @RyanSophieSailing on our yacht sailing Aequus, alongside@thelastpirate on Mikes beautiful Hanse 575 (Ellipsis). Our last sail of 2020 pretty much summed up the year most people have had... LOUSY!!! In the space of 6 hours we had sunshine, rain, fog, no wind, too much wind and about 5 different squalls that passed through which made a challenging sail to say the least. We had a reef in the main but one squall caught us off guard and a particularly nasty gust caused us to broach (round up). After a particularly stormy and rocky night celebrating NYE on the deserted island of Klein Curacao we received a weather update and things were about to get worse..
