Se dieron condiciones de viento flojo, en torno a los 10 nudos y con un rio planchado. La tripulación siempre dispuesta a participar de las regatas y disfrutar de un buen momento haciendo lo que nos gusta, a bordo del Adrenalina.

It has been almost a month since getting the moderna COVID-19 vaccine and I haven't felt bad at all. I will be getting my second dose next week so I will be all ready for sailing on Adventure of the Seas in June 2021

We leave the unimpressive Shaw Island and have a wonderful sail to Chalkies Beach which is opposite the world famous Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsundays. The planning for this trip is very intense as Magnus does the maths and checks it twice to ensure that we make it through the Solway Passage safely. It’s a notoriously dangerous passage, not attempted by many, with strong tidal flows and it’s definitely not good if you get the maths wrong. It’s very narrow with reef close by. Chalkies Beach is a much better anchorage than Whitehaven Beach but on arrival we have to wait awhile to get a mooring. It’s worth the wait. Magnus figures out how he is going to install the transducer inside the boat and we get to see what is below Nutshell for the very first time. Thanks for watching and see you all next time. About the Boat ''SY ROYAL ATENEA'' was built in Holland in 1973. Her original name was ''Antares''.She is a Jongert Trewes Design with 5mm Steel Hull and rigged as a Ketch with Aluminium Masts. Her LOA is 19.3m and she has a beam of 4.6m with a draft of 2.98m She weighs 33t and she can cruise at 7 kts with the engine and 8-10 kts on sail depending on the wind. She is fairly comfortable with 15 to 20 kts of wind. Freshwater capacity to last over 2 weeks and a fuel range of 13 days steaming. Peter and I sail to Santiago island accompanied by Lily on his boat and Wendy on mine. We're buddy sailing in Cape Verde Africa, two yachts sailing together 140NM. After a short delay we are off down the Sao Vicente canal and it's glorious. We catch up and sail together the beginning of our 160nm passage. Poor Wendy is very seasick, but gets a momentary cure as we are surrounded by speedy dolphins. It's one of those wonderful Cape Verde cruising moments.
