We make our final journey aboard S/V Against The Wind. And say farewell to the vessel that brought us to our dreams. This one was a little emotional for us. The end of a chapter in our lives for sure. We get her cleaned up and listed for sale. She is a beautiful boat and took very good care of us. Sad to see her go, but hopeful she finds a good new home and many future adventures. We thank all of you for your support. We leave the Bahamas and head back to the States. It definitely bitter sweet. With a new job opportunity we are going to have to relocate. We make such good time on the Gulfstream crossing that we decide to skip our anchorage in Lake Worth and head straight for Hobe Sound. We hope you enjoy! We head down to the S.S. Sapona wreck. We do some free diving and spearfishing. Then off to Bimini to hang out and wait for weather to pass. Hunter does some more fishing. Our longest sail ever! And yes of course our longest video ever too, sorry. We attempt to go Nassau to Bimini for a 30 hours sail. However, the weather just does not cooperate. We end up stopping in Chub Cay to anchor out and top off fuel. Even still Chub Cay to Bimini was the longest sail we have ever done. We hope you enjoy! In this episode, we sail to Nassau. Winds are up and down, but hey we made it (with some motor sailing) in really good time actually. We arrive at Nassau Harbour Club Marina and hang out while we wait for our boat parts. Unfortunately, the boat parts don't arrive until after our weather window so we end up staying for an extra week and a half. Oh well, not a bad place to be stuck. We make a 3 day trip to safety from a westerly windstorm. We finally figure out where to get propane. Then we find out we are taking on water. Finally, we explore Highborne Cay. We hope you enjoy! Hunter catches more fish and we do a catch, clean, and cook (though it is a bit spread out in the vid). Then we karaoke and dance the night away at a cruiser happy hour in Blackpoint. We finally leave Emerald Bay and Great Exuma behind. It's a very smooth day and we get to sail with the spinnaker, but we have to time the tides into Rudder Cut as it is known for not being a fun cut on the wrong side of tides and winds. We anchor out for the night at Rudder Cay which is just a few islands away from David Copperfield's island of Musha Cay. We dive the musician and dad kisses a mermaid. All and all a great day. We have our worst sail ever. We wanted to sell the boat and go home right then and there. We were ready for full-time RVing or something. Luckily we calmed down and thought about it for a bit. We go over what we learned and try to share with you. Sorry about the crude drawings and presentation. We also get a really nice clean and wax on the boat from Salty Living Cleaners. In this episode we have the anchorage to ourselves for almost a week. We gain a pet barracuda and name it Barry. The boys and dad have a spear fishing contest to catch dinner. Then we check out Thunderball Grotto, which is a really cool cave system that was used in 2 James Bond movies. Finally, we check out Staniel Cay and the yacht club. And yes more sharks! Join us as we explore Warderick Wells in the Exuma Island Chain or The Bahamas. What a very diverse hike. Seems like we went from forest, to badlands, to plains, to mountains all in less than an hour. We hike up Boo Boo Hill. There are Legends of spirits of lost sailors and their boats haunting the island. We talk a little about conserving our oceans and what it means for wildlife as well as you and me. Also we try to see a blow hole, but it doesn't quite work out. I guess we need to research that a little more. I'm sure it has something to do with tides. We hope you enjoy! We go from Highborns Cay to Norman's Cay to dive Pablo Escobar's airplane. Then due to a Easterly coming in we decide to move to a different anchorage.
