A quick tutorial on how to install aftermarket handle bars on a motorcycle. The stock bars on the my XR650L are way to low (in my opinion). Putting on some ProTaper ATV high SE bars to improve ergonomics standing up. Hope this helps somebody out!

This week Andy finally opens the keel box to take a look at the condition of the lifting keel. He welds a patch in the pilothouse roof, Melissa arrives to help get it painted and re fit the hatches! We hope you find the high speed painting as satisfying as we did!! Remember we're doing all of this so we can go full time cruising as a sailing family in a few years time. We're hoping eventually to get the boat set up for single handed sailing so we can relax knowing she is an easy boat to sail in any conditions from light winds to rough seas. Making sure our mast is in perfect condition along with our rigging is super important and we will be spending a lot of time getting it perfect! This is a video of the interior of our 1989 Hallberg Rassy 42E 'Asterie'. We have been sailing her and living aboard since July 2019. We began our journey on Asterie in Eastbourne, UK and have sailed all the way down the Atlantic coast of Europe to the Algarve, Portugal. We dipped our noses into the Med last summer but are currently back enjoying the Algarve and its beautiful weather! 1989 HALLBERG-RASSY 42E, HULL No. 227 Asterie is currently located in the Algarve with her current owners who have set her up for long term cruising by installing solar and a wind generator, a new 25kg Rocna anchor, a new 3.2m dinghy with a 9.9hp outboard engine, and an offshore flare pack amongst many other upgrades onboard. This classic Hallberg-Rassy 42E is a true bluewater cruiser providing excellent sea-keeping and she has a build quality that is renowned in the sailing world. She provides 6-8 comfortable berths in three cabins and has 2 separate heads. There is wheel steering with a traditional long keel and she is extremely well-equipped. Asterie is powered by a Beta 75hp diesel engine (fitted in 2011).

O novo Phoenix idealizado por Eduardo Souza Ramos fará sua estreia na Semana Internacional de Vela de Ilhabela, evento marcado de 24 a 31 de julho, no Yacht Club de Ilhabela. O barco de 44 pés teve como projetista a Botin Partners Naval Architecture e conta com equipamentos de ponta. O veleiro é apontado por especialistas em vela oceânica como um dos melhores projetos feitos no País. O barco é um Botin 44 foi construído pelo estaleiro ML Boats, em Indaiatuba (SP) e está em processo final de ajustes no Iate Clube de Santos, no Guarujá (SP) sob o comando do atleta olímpico André Fonseca e de Sérgio Rocha. Na Semana de Vela de Ilhabela, o Phoenix vai medir na classe ORC e terá sob seu comando Eduardo Souza Ramos, o maior vencedor da competição em Ilhabela com 11 títulos divididos em barcos como Phoenix e Pajero. O Fala, Velejador de hoje vai para Sylvestre Santos do Baforada 3. A organização da Semana Internacional de Vela de Ilhabela, em parceria com a Prefeitura local, está alinhada com as autoridades de saúde para entregar um evento de alto nível de 24 a 31 de julho, no litoral norte paulista. As regatas devem reunir mais de 100 barcos de classes como ORC, RGS, Bico de Proa, Clássicos, C30 e HPE25. Para retomada das provas, os organizadores adotarão medidas restritivas e consultaram dirigentes de outras competições pelo mundo, não apenas de vela oceânica. Todas as atividades relacionadas à Semana Internacional de Vela de Ilhabela atenderão aos protocolos de segurança oficiais relacionados à COVID-19. Uma das novidades para 2021 é a exigência de teste de PCR com 72 horas de antecedência para o credenciamento, que será feito nos dias 24 e 25 de julho. Além do mais, o Yacht Club de Ilhabela (YCI) não estará aberto a convidados.
