Saaaaalve Elementos. We sailed from Cuxhaven to Helgoland. Docking at the Südhafen. In the Südhafen, it is not uncommon for there to be lots of boats docking side by side. We were here in the late season, so it was relatively quiet.

Of The Bahamas' Swimming Pigs, Flying Chickens & Sea Slugs Eaten Raw In this episode we explore more of Great Exuma not sure what to think of the pink beaches we find covered with beautiful conchs. A little further north, our navionics charts once again are super inaccurate but we make our way to little piggy island anyways, possibly a project copied from the big island 40nm further north inhabited by loads of them?! Anyways, we have our little giggles being persecuted the instant we arrive with our dinghy. Another great trip with Waterhorse Charters. Special thanks to Ryan Mable for the invite on this private charter to explore this seldom visited shipwreck here in San Diego. The wreck sits in 125 feet of water along the Mexican / U.S. border. She was a Wickes-Class destroyer in the US Navy during World War II. Received six battle stars for service sinking 4 submarines and bringing down 2 planes. She was sunk as target practice on November 8, 1945,

The Aura 51 marks a new stage in the evolution of the Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans range and the desire of the shipyard in La Rochelle to go further in its environmental approach. The Fountaine Pajot design office, in collaboration with the Olivier Racoupeau Design team of naval architects, imagined the New 51 to be able to accommodate a large surface area of solar panels without compromising on design. Its large flybridge, with its friendly lounge and sunbathing area, is fitted with solar panels that are totally flush-decked, integrating with the lines, capable of producing 2000 Watts of renewable energy. A successful gamble that allows the New 51 to generate 5 times more solar energy than other yachts equipped with solar panels. Welcome back. This week, we head back to (almost!) the same location we were in last time, but with one thing we didn't have last time...a kayak! However, remember last time when the sea was calm, and turquoise and it was boiling hot? Just like the Caribbean? Today, it was significantly colder/choppier/windier. Alas, that did not stop us pumping the boat up and heading it (of course wearing buoyancy aids and staying close to shore- safety first). Despite the waves, which made for hilarious kayaking, and a slightly more strenuous paddle, we found the waterfall and wow, was it worth it. Me and Zach geeked out at mixed ecosystems and soaked in this natural phenomena. Later, we headed 20 mins south to Cenarth Falls on the River Teifi. With locals once using Coracles (small wooden boats) to fish in, we decided to abandon all craft and take a dip- au natural- (bathing suits included). As the sun set, we swum around our 'very own natural waterpark' and honestly, in that moment, i wouldn't have wished to be anywhere else. I hope you all enjoy and your week gives you the opportunity to go for an explore! After wrapping up our sail in Turkey with Kraken, we head to the factory to see how one of the boats are actually made (video to be released soon!) With only a few days left of our time in Turkey, we then head to the centre of Istanbul and try and immerse ourselves into a bit of sightseeing, history and culture! The day finally comes though when we have to leave... so we hop back on a plane and head to the Azores where little Millie is waiting patiently for us... On our way back however, we received an exciting offer that we just couldn't say no to. Drone Credits As Turkey is a mammoth city, it will come as no surprise that flying a drone over it is highly illegal. So luckily, someone did that for us! It was a smart move to go into a resort marina during no movement weekends. However things are getting better here in paradise as no movement weekends are over for now, and even beach time is increased. For us staying at a resort its different rules and we can live almost like normal, enjoying our time and get things done. We also have time to play around and have fun. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBING! You can also follow sailing with Thomas on other platforms for almost daily updated pics and videos: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sailingwiththomas Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sailingwiththomas ABOUT THIS CHANNEL: I`m sailing sailing around the world in my Bavaria 55 Cruiser, making videos whenever I have time for it. Most of the time I sail singlehanded but occasionally I do have sailing friends onboard. Still in the Caribbean due to Covid and was supposed to be in Asia by now. Even though this is season 3 on youtube I have already sailed 4 seasons full time but did not make that many videos in the beginning. Before full-time sailing, I have sailed several seasons in the Med prior to this, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I have been traveling the world before and also been an active regatta sailor. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and been sailing ever since. PLEASE BE KIND IN THE COMMENTS! I'm just a normal person sharing my travel adventure through my eyes and experience from my perspective! Remember how I do things might work for me but not for you. It might even not be the correct way to do things, and I don't have the blueprint either. I'm not perfect and nobody is. The day I believe I know it all and don't think I can learn new things I should go ashore.

Season 8 : Hawaiian Adventures : Episode #209 Hello Friends, On this weeks episode I meet up with Oahu Legend Big Island Mike (https://www.bigislandmike.com) who is kind enough to show me around Oahu. Big Island Mike rode as a sponsored BMX rider for S&M Bikes and Monster Energy Drinks through out the 90s which lead to him traveling the world riding in Matt Hoffman's Bicycle Stunt Series. Mike was a judge for the X-Games for 25 years and has been tattooing for almost as long. Mike tattoos in Los Angeles at the legendary Shamrock Social Club (http://shamrocksocialclub.com) and in Oahu at Hale Nui Tattoos (https://halenuitattoos.com) and at his private studio on the west side the Secret Ninja Warehouse. I was introduced to Mike by my tattooer and our mutual friend Shawn Barber and I mentioned to Mike that I planned on finding and skateboarding at the legendary Wallows ditch made famous by the "Search for Animal Chin" video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgBm0Ly5Rmg). Mike said he would take me and so we spend the day living out my boyhood dream of skating this legendary spot and we hit another skatepark and finally ended up at the Secret Ninja Warehouse. We're trying something new! Springing off a dock is always nerve wracking, especially in a brand new boat. We show you how we go in this week's episode. Sailing the Australian coastline is way more challenging than we'd thought- we really did expect a calm, stress free experience, especially since we're onboard a comfy Seawind catamaran! But no- the coastline and the weather keep us on our toes as we leave Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays and head for a more isolated and peaceful retreat. Thanks for watching! This week we are back working on the barge. We have a few wasted sheets of plywood as Simon gets a few things wrong, well it happens sometimes. Carla makes great progress with the electric installation, she is putting in all the cables for the 12v and for the mains. With all the junction boxes and connections. And guess what? She is loving it! We also get our first delivery from YouBoat, we tested the prices with two other chandleries and they came with the best price. We are really enjoying this life and sharing everything with you it's been wonderful . Thank you very much, you guys are amazing supporting us with your likes and comments, we really feel that we have a new family out there. Much love Carla & Simon A little bit about us... We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

We’ve been in a St. Lucia during hurricane season doing a sailing shuffle, sailing north up to Rodney Bay to anchor out during the week then back to our dock in the Marigot Bay for the weekend lockdown, and then staying a week or two before heading back to Rodney Bay for fresh groceries. In this episode we describe how one of our winches suddenly went crazy, turning on by itself at high speed and would not stop. That was super dangerous because the genoa sheet was on the winch and could have caused a rigging failure! Lesson learned: never leave loaded lines on the winch when not sailing. We show our solution to keep the genoa lines tight without loading the winch. WE MAKE OUR VIDEOS PUBLIC TO SHARE OUR ENJOYMENT OF OUR OCEAN WORLD. Here is the second half of our summer in Maine. We travel Downeast to Roque Island to our favorite northern beach, have some family aboard, do a lot of hiking and enjoy the beautiful Maine coast from the water and ashore.

A last minute manoeuvre by Nico Poons’ Charisma won them the final race of the 44Cup Scarlino World Championship by a mere second, but it was the defending champions on Chris Bake’s Team Aqua that defended their title in this 11th RC44 World Championship by one slender point. Like a final curtain call to this World Championship, as well as a reminder of how close the racing always is between the high performance owner-driver one designs, the top eight RC44s all crossed the finish line for the final time within just 20 seconds after 40 minutes of racing. Going into today just one point had separated the top three – Hugues Lepic’s Aleph Racing, Torbjörn Törnqvist's Artemis Racing and Nico Poons’ Charisma. So began a day where the podium changed after each of the three races held.

When I toured the Cheoy Lee 53' motor sailor I thought that it was about as close to perfect as you were going to get. Needless to say I loved it for what it was, but this 63' version just takes everything that makes the 53' great and turns that up to 11. I do love both versions, each being perfect for the size of group/family you might be cruising with. What do you think? *Edit: This boat is on Lake Michigan, not in Florida. I apologize for the mistake while editing this one. We're not afraid to jump into anything, put in the work, and learn as we go. We started out with Somnium, an O'day 272, moved onto Freebie, an Endeavour 32, and now are focusing on sailboat tours and working full time as teachers while we save up for our next boat.
