If you want to help the planet and enjoy a healthier lifestyle, reduce your meat consumption and introduce tasty plant-based meals to your diet at least once a week! Together with Sunreef Yachts Eco brand ambassador Nico Rosberg, the company is taking part in a wonderful initiative launched by Paul McCartney that encourages people worldwide to reduce meat consumption to help the environment and have a healthier lifestyle. In today's episode of MARINADE: Meat Free Monday Edition we welcome Sunreef Yachts' Accounting Department. Here is our recipe inspiration for today’s meat-free lunch: Coconut Rice & Mango Salsa with Pineapple and Orange Sauce. Coconut Rice & Mango Salsa with Pineapple and Orange Sauce 4 portions - Rice 200 g - Coconut milk 200 ml - 1 Mango - ½ Pineapple - 2 Oranges - Honey 2 tbsp - 1 Lime - 1 bunch of Mint - Black sesame 20 g - Potato flour 1 tsp Boil the rice. Cut the pineapple into large cubes. Peel and cut the mango. Fillet one orange and add the fillets to the remaining fruit. Cut the second orange and squeeze juice from it. Boil half of the coconut milk with a teaspoon of potato flour. Add the orange juice. This will be our sauce. Drain the rice and add the remaining coconut milk. Simmer the rice in the milk until the texture is creamy. Chop fresh mint. Marinate the fruit in honey and chopped mint. Grate the orange and lime peel to garnish the dish. Place the rice on a plate, fruits next to it and pour the sauce over the rice. Decorate the plate with fresh mint, black sesame and grated lime peel. Voilà!

After the Second World War, the USA collected a ‘mock’ naval fleet for the purpose of testing the impact of different atomic bombs on a large fleet. These nuclear bomb tests were performed in several remote locations in the South Pacific Ocean, known as the Pacific Proving Grounds. Bikini Atoll was appointed one of the designated testing areas within the Marshall Islands. Between 1946 and 1958, not less than 23 atomic bombs were tested at Bikini Atoll, which resulted in a unique selection of shipwrecks from the US, Germany and Japan consisting of war battleships, cruisers, and an aircraft carrier. More than 60 years later, the shipwrecks remain equally as impressive while they have become home to many kinds of corals and fish species. As a result, Bikini Atoll has become the ultimate wreck diving for the true fans! This exclusive and unparalleled diving destination is undisputedly ranked first on any serious wreck & technical divers’ bucket list. This is well justified; nowhere else on earth you will be able to dive into such a unique collection of historic battleships, cruisers, as well as the world famous USS Saratoga aircraft carrier with its 270m (888ft.) flight deck. For this reason, Bikini Atoll was declared the first UNESCO World Heritage site for the Marshall Islands archipelago in 2010. Dive Bikini Atolls by liveaboard with Truk Master and learn much more about those incredible wrecks! A very lucky group of school students and visitors to Green Island with Great Adventures were treated to an extra special experience, witnessing the release of a hawksbill turtle, aptly named Billy, back into the wilds of the Great Barrier Reef. Estimated to be around 20 years of age, Billy had been found at Airlie Beach having swallowed a fish line and hook, and transported to Cairns for care by the team at Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre (CTRC). Jennie Gilbert, co-founder of the CTRC said Billy is the first turtle in their care to have undergone open oesophageal surgery to remove the hook. After the successful surgery and recovery, Billy spent several months “fattening up” and recuperating at the CTRC facility at the Cairns Aquarium. Prior to release, Billy was fitted with a satellite tracker which will aid research and insight into the lives of these graceful marine creatures. His movements will be able to be tracked on the Citizens Great Barrier Reef “Reef Tracker” site. https://citizensgbr.org/explore/reef-tracks Watching the open water release from a glass bottom boat, it was a wonderful sight for visitors to see Billy dive into the clear blue waters of Green Island. With abundant seagrass beds and coral reefs, it’s a turtle paradise! We are inspired by the dedicated team at the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre and wonderful work they do in caring for sick and injured turtles, with the ultimate goal of releasing them back into the wild where they belong in a healthy reef environment.

Welcome back! In todays video, we head to the Gower in Swansea to find Pavilands Cave. However, after a failed tide check, we end up not being able to access it on this particular day and instead find an incredible blow hole! Fear not though, if you were here for the cave, we head back a week later and instead of one cave, we find TWO (yes TWO!) caves. Both very different and magical in their own way, we were blown away that this was on our doorstep. --------------------🌲--------------------------------- COME ON AN ADVENTURE WITH ME: http://www.instagram.com/planetbecka BUSINESS: Rebecca@evalinks.com ----------------------------🌲--------------------------------- THE KIT I USE: Big Camera: https://amzn.to/3dgRNCb Art Lens: https://amzn.to/3dfrcp2 Small Camera: https://amzn.to/3cetZ07 Microphone: https://amzn.to/2XgSdCY Small Tripod: https://amzn.to/36NAUwf Big Tripod: https://amzn.to/2Aq5kbH *DISCLAIMER: Links in this description might be affiliate links. We start where we finished up last episode - 100 miles offshore on a 4 day trip to Madeira. After a great first day, we started to settle into the swing of things underway. With the motor on to get through the Azores high, we saw a disturbing thing while doing the final engine checks of the night - WATER where it should be. Immediately, all the floorboards and hatches came up as we searched for the source of the water. The first test - tasting it to see if it was salty or fresh. After solving that problem and hoping for no more during the trip, we continued to settle into life underway as we show you what it's really like on our boat 300 miles off shore. Want more? As a sailor your boat will never stop surprising you! Its a saying if you think everything is okay with your boat it just means you have not yet discovered what's wrong. I believe lots of sailors can relate to this, and in this episode Kylie again was in for a surprise. Im going dinghy shopping as you know my old one is dead. A dinghy is my car and I need a reliable one. Going out the Pacific with a patched dinghy is not a good idea. Same with sails and other things, it needs to be in top condition. So Im also preparing my sails and other projects while waiting for Kylie. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBING! You can also follow sailing with Thomas on other platforms for almost daily updated pics and videos: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sailingwiththomas Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sailingwiththomas Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Sailingwiththomas ABOUT THIS CHANNEL: I`m sailing sailing around the world in my Bavaria 55 Cruiser, making videos whenever I have time for it. Most of the time I sail singlehanded but occasionally I do have sailing friends onboard. Still in the Caribbean due to Covid and was supposed to be in Asia by now. Even though this is season 3 on youtube I have already sailed 4 seasons full time but did not make that many videos in the beginning. Before full-time sailing, I have sailed several seasons in the Med prior to this, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I have been traveling the world before and also been an active regatta sailor. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and been sailing ever since. Also more than 10 years experience from Search and Rescue at sea in Norway. PLEASE BE KIND IN THE COMMENTS! I'm just a normal person sharing my travel adventure through my eyes and experience from my perspective! Remember how I do things might work for me but not for you. It might even not be the correct way to do things, and I don't have the blueprint either. I'm not perfect and nobody is. The day I believe I know it all and don't think I can learn new things I should go ashore.

Season 8 : The Hawaiian Adventures : Episode #215 On this weeks episode I wake up at the very protected and peaceful anchorage of Pokai Bay. I make my way ashore and check out the town and enjoy lunch on an open veranda with a clear view of Triteia sitting under anchor. I also visited the Kū'īlioloa Heiau that is just south of Pokai Bay on Kane'ilio Point. Kū'īlioloa Heiau is the ancient Heiau, Temple in Hawaiian, for Navigation and sea voyages. Once back at my dinghy I found a note from the harbor master from the Wai'anae telling me I had overstayed the 72 hour time limit (this was only my 3rd day there). After speaking with him on the phone and voicing my concerns about the high wind event that was coming he allowed me to stay until the front passed. After this drama was dealt with I enjoyed amazing snorkeling along and outside the breakwater at Pokai Bay. Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

The IMOCA podium : 1. LinkedOut (Thomas Ruyant - Morgan Lagravière) 2. Apivia (Charlie Dalin - Paul Meilhat) 3. Charal (Jérémie Beyou - Christopher Pratt) The ceremony was also an opportunity to honour Apivia for her victory in the IMOCA Globe Series 2021 circuit. Apivia's second place in the Transat Jacques Vabre race sealed the overall season title following wins in the Rolex Fastnet (in August) and the Défi Azimut (in September). Charlie Dalin and Paul Meilhat beat LinkedOut who finished second on 131 points - 12 points behind Apivia.

Amphibious sailboat and a sketchy boat ramp make for an interesting time. I had a minor disaster when the tyre went flat. This is one of the more challenging boat ramps for a trailer sailer as it’s shallow, not long enough and no pontoons to assist. Next week’s episode will be the start of the Round The Island race!

Wasser marsch!
