The fleet included: seven Dazcats ranging from 26 to 48 ft and five – 34 years old, three Farriers, two Diam 24 one designs, a Le Rouge Soubise, a Maldives 32, a Newick and a Grainger. If you love looking at multihulls you’ll love this and you don't have to be a racer to enjoy it. Twice I have sailed into Beaufort, and twice I had thought it a rather risky thing to do. The original plan was for a short stay in the Cape Lookout Bight before continuing on around Cape Hatteras to the Chesapeake Bay. We are now sailing new territory in the Pacific Coast of Mexico. On this episode, we are getting closer to Palm trees and further away from cactus trees. Warren finishes up some of the necessary projects and issues aboard VA before we can leave Mazatlán and continue our southern hop to Puerto Vallarta. This time of year also calls for the big migration of Humpback whales from Alaska down the coast of Baja into Mexico, and we happen to be sailing in the middle of it all. Whereas on Friday we had races until 21:30 (!), the wind conditions were on second day of the Swiss Sailing League Women Cup 2022 until 15:00 not good. Afterwards, the so-called “Bergwind” came up and great races could be completed. Every team improved the sailing performance, teams participating at the Swiss Sailing League Women Camps performed good. Great ambiance in Biel-Bienne. We upgrade our anchor to the Mantus M2 and also add the Mantus Swivel to the chain. We have purchase a few thing from Mantus Marine over the year like the rail clamps to mount our grill, the anchor snubber and our dinghy anchor. After watching the comparison videos on YouTube we decided to give Mantus a try. The Mantus M2 was designed to work with boats that have a bow sprit so we chose it over the M1.
