Then we headed to the island of Brač, towards Milna, for our next destination! Swimming, paddle boarding, meals at anchor and of course sailing as a flotilla marked this day before mooring up in the port in the evening. The 100 crew will have the opportunity to tour the island and enjoy tasting some local Croatian products. See you soon for the next Fountaine Pajot Owners Rendez-Vous! Poxa vida viu, inacreditável, triste demais quando somos pegos de surpresa com essas notícias da vida.  Fiquei muito triste mesmo não conhecendo ele pessoalmente, nós, seguidores, acabamos criando uma certa amizade e nos colocando na pele de quem seguimos. A incrível jornada que esse jovem fez é de tirar o chapéu. Eu na minha jornada sei das dificuldades e do que nos move. Esse acidente de certa forma me fez pensar ainda mais como precisamos seguir em frente e fazer a nossa história. E se assegurar que os problemas vão acontecer e que temos que nos preparar para não dar "B.O"  Sempre pensando no próximo passo e no que poderia dar de ruim. Já acompanhava e via que ele já sofreu um acidente na Costa Rica pois quebrou a barra de direção do FUSCA. E que ainda em alguns lugares ele mesmo brincando que o fusca andava 120 km/h  Certas coisas precisamos estar preparados e evitar o que puder evitar. Here is the lower level (for 4 x 120Ah batteries) of our watertight battery box, part of our conversion to Vida being a fully electric, zero carbon footprint boat. The upper layer is also shown roughly in position with 4 x 300Ah batteries. Two and a half years ago, when we bought Vida, she was in a very tired and damp condition with all original equipment and fittings (much of it not working). We have removed all the gas, diesel, and paraffin equipment as well as all the plumbing and electrics. We have composting toilets, are installing an electric motor and all electric cooking. We are fitting a huge solar array and probably a wind generator. We have replaced all the windows, removed all the headlining and more. We are replacing all the standing rigging with Dyneema synthetic rigging. This is the biggest sustainability project of our lives as we prepare for a retirement when we want to cruise the world using zero fossil fuels on a very low budget.
