** NOW SOLD ** Built in Sweden in 2004, the Hallberg-Rassy 40 ‘Cocomarje’ is a well presented and specified blue water cruising yacht from one of the world's top builders. When the previous owner chose this yacht, the idea of a safe vessel with complete redundancy in her systems was the priority. This is evident in the inventory's two completely independent autopilot and navigation systems. In addition, the rigging was replaced in August 2021 and, for ease of handling, Cocomarje is fitted with a Selden in-mast furling main (new 2022) and furling jib (new 2022), and inner forestay for storm sails. Hallberg Rassy's have inescapably lovely lines, just what you can accept from the renowned naval architect, German Frers. There is a built solidity that inspires confidence, and this is only increased by the deep, well-enclosed cockpit, vital for the feeling of safety and security. No one needs to be persuaded to sail a Hallberg Rassy. ‘Cocomarje’ has a logical interior layout, designed for long periods on board either at sea or in the harbour. The interior woodwork is beautifully finished in mahogany with a light matt silk finish. The floor is single-level throughout the boat, in varnished teak with inlaid holly stripes and carpeted throughout for protection. The forward V-berth is a great guest cabin, but the real drawcard for this yacht is the enormous aft cabin with accommodation across the entire beam of the boat aft. The galley is very usable, as is the navigation table portside and midships. The displacement of the yachts is designed not only to give the generous stowage needed for extended voyages but also space for modern comforts. Sailing around the Cape Verde islands is always a challenge. The wind is almost always strong with Venturi effects near certain islands. There are currents and fierce waves. As well the coasts are rough and mean pocked with rocks and steep cliffs. It's rarely boring to sail here. My friends Julia and Sylvain were out with me and Brun. Julia has good sailing experience from France, but none here. At one point we were motor sailing to get around a rocky and the waves churned here stomach. So once around the point we gave here the helm. She never mentioned seasickness again. And at the end of our journey she had to manage the channel. But can she pass the Sao Vicente Canal test? Part I deals with much of the interior work that was done during the winter, include installing the electronics for new instruments, pulling some of the old instruments, removing close to 90 feet of wire associated with a massive entertainment system that was on board that also came out, and cleaning. Lots of cleaning. Nearly every weekend throughout the winter entailed some project on the boat. As with every boat project, for every two steps forward, it seemed like we took a step and a half back. And in working one project we would usually find two more that also needed to get done. Although there is no sailing in this video, we hope it is informative as to what goes into getting a new boat ready to sail from our perspective. The island 'Ile-de-Groix is one of the islands of South Bretagne. We moored there in the harbour called Port Tudy.

The biggest island in front of the coast of Bretagne is Belle-Ile. And the name is chosen wisely! It's a great island with white sand beaches, turquoise water and picturesque harbors. We made a 4 minute video with 3 great spots of the island!

I det här avsnittet får ni följa med vår Albin Alpha till Danmark från vår hemmahamn Klagshamn! Vi börjar trippen utan någon vind över huvudtaget på första etappen till Dragör. Då får vi åka motor de första 7 milen. Vi sover också vår första natt i båten och irritation uppstår över andra båtar som inte spänner sina fall ordentligt 😠 Vi fortsätter söderut och vinden ökar för varje dag. Avsnittet avslutas med höga vindhastigheter. Givetvis får vi motvind så vi får kryssa hela vägen! Men humöret är på topp trots det, vi är ju äntligen tillbaka på Artemis! Sailing ORIZON - Segeln im Mittelmeer... Wir lassen die schöne Navarino Bucht bei Pylos hinter uns und schiffern wenige Seemeilen weiter nach Methoni. Dort schauen wir uns gleich die sehenswerte Wasserburg an, für die der Ort bekannt ist und finden Methoni auch sonst sehr einladend. Hinter der Mole liegen wir gut geschützt und möchten den angekündigten Starkwind aus Nordost abwettern. Vor dem bleiben wir in Methoni zu unserer Erleichterung verschont und so geht es am selben Tag noch weiter nach Finikounda. In dem kleinen Örtchen treffen wir Jörg und Ute wieder und haben die Möglichkeit Wäsche zu waschen, was wegen einem Missgeschick von Andi unbedingt sein muss. Die nächste Destination ist Koroni, auch ein Ort, der mit Burg und altem Kloster aufwarten kann. Nun kommt wieder ein größerer Schlag zum nächsten Finger vom Peloponnes und wir müssen um das Kap Tenaro herum um in die geschützte Bucht Porto Kagio zu gelangen. Am Kap brist der Wind heftig auf und mit starken Gegenwind durch Fallböen kommen wir in der beeindruckenden Bucht Porto Kagio an... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ We leave the beautiful Navarino Bay at Pylos behind us and sail a few nautical miles further to Methoni. There we take a look at the moated castle, which is well worth seeing, for which the place is known and find Methoni very inviting in other respects. We are well protected behind the mole and would like to weather the announced strong wind from the north-east. To our relief, we are spared in Methoni and so we continue to Finikounda on the same day. In the small village we meet Jörg and Ute again and have the opportunity to do the laundry, which is absolutely necessary because of Andi's mishap. The next destination is Koroni, also a place that boasts a castle and an old monastery. Now a bigger blow comes to the next finger of the Peloponnese and we have to go around Cape Tenaro to get into the sheltered bay of Porto Kagio. At the cape the wind blows up violently and with strong headwinds from down gusts we arrive in the impressive bay of Porto Kagio... Turen fra Lissabon til Las Palmas. Natten er lang på Atlanten når det er nymåne og overskyet, men turen fantastisk og det at ankomme til Gran Canaria føles stort. Vi gjorde det! Os to! Vi kommer også en tur under overfladen og hilser på en Angel shark. Brunsbuttel lock) Weather: partly cloudy with a stray splash Wind: SW nil Left: 08.30 At lock: 11.00 Arrived at Rendsburg: 18.00 Particulars: remarkably smooth passage through Brünsbuttel lock We naturally want to sail with as much current as possible to Brünsbuttel. So we left Cuxhaven at rising tide. Due to virtually no wind, we have to do everything by engine. It is what it is. We are the only ones in the lock at Brünsbuttel and that after only 15 minutes of bobbing. Yessssss! Cruising across the NOK also goes smoothly. The weather is mostly cloudy, but fine in temperature. The low-flying helicopter comes over twice. Patty cooks a pasta meal. We call the marina to see if there is room ….no problem. We moor at 6 pm and decide to go to the Edeka supermarket straight away. Get some fresh stuff and a drink-lif-lafs dinner for on board when we return. After a beautiful sunset, we are in the cage in good time. #kielcanal #rendsburg #sailing
