In the meantime, the Meltemi has set in in the Aegean and blows funny whitecaps onto the sea. We shimmy from weather window to weather window, from island to island. From Kastellorizo to Rhodes, from Rhodes to Symi, and now we've been on Kos for three days, where we happen to meet old friends.

The Old Fortress of Corfu is a Venetian fortress in the city of Corfu. The fortress covers the promontory which initially contained the old town of Corfu that had emerged during Byzantine times. Corfu, an island off Greece’s northwest coast in the Ionian Sea, is defined by rugged mountains and a resort-studded shoreline. Its cultural heritage reflects years spent under Venetian, French and British rule before it was united with Greece in 1864. Corfu Town, flanked by 2 imposing Venetian fortresses, features winding medieval lanes, a French-style arcade and the grand Palace of St. Michael and St. George.

On 19 July, we launched our new IMOCA race yacht, Malizia - Seaexplorer in Lorient, France. The entire team, their guests and spectators watched how the new sailing boat rolled out of the hangar and touched the water for the very first time - a magical moment we captured on film.

Almonda is a spacious 39.9 meter yacht with a 8.57 meter beam, built and powered for comfort, safety and stability owned and operated by Ocean Breeze Liveaboards. She is diesel powered, cruises at 10-12 knots and has 220-volt power. Comfortable accommodations for 24 guests include 12 spacious staterooms each independently air-conditioned, a private head and shower, porthole view window, mirrored cabinet, hair dryer, fresh towels and volume controls. Each stateroom has a 32-inch flat screen TV offering a selection of 400 movies, TV shows and documentaries. Guests will also be able to plug their computers into the TV screen to edit underwater pictures and video. Almonda has 2 master staterooms each with a queen bed, 8 Deluxe staterooms each with two twin beds, and 2 double cabin with a queen bed. The yacht has a beautiful spacious salon, large sun deck with shading, hot tub, chaise lounges and deck chairs, and bar. There is a variety of nightly entertainment, including diving, fish identification presentations, movies, games and more. If you have a favorite movie, digital presentation or a video to share, we encourage you to bring it along. The staff especially loves new releases of movies, recent magazines and books. A small library of books for exchange is maintained onboard as well as fish identification books for reference. All meals, snacks and beverages are provided

It’s time. Magnus decides that he needs to start disconnecting the engine from Nutshell. It’s a laborious task but he eventually manages to do it. Then it’s off to the lock towed by three dinghies. It’s a tricky journey with million dollar yachts surrounding us! We eventually get the engine out of the hatch and all is well on Nutshell.
