Un tracé exigeant et plein de pièges, signé Seve Ballesteros. Malgré la saison et les fortes chaleurs, le parcours était un très bon état. Man kann sagen, wir hatten die Hosen gestrichen voll. Auf unserer ersten längeren Passage von Griechenland nach Italien, die rund zwei Tage und Nächte dauert, gerieten wir in ein riesiges Gewittergebiet, das in Italien einige Zerstörungen anrichtete. Dabei hatten wir unsere Abreise extra um einen Tag verschoben, um Gewittern bestmöglich aus dem Weg zu gehen. Drei Wettermodelle hatte ich im Vorfeld gecheckt, nicht ausreichend, wie ich jetzt weiß.

You could say we were scared shitless. On our first long passage from Greece to Italy, which takes about two days and nights, we got caught in a huge thunderstorm area that caused some destruction in Italy. We had postponed our departure by one day to avoid thunderstorms as much as possible. I had checked three weather models beforehand - not enough, as I now know.

Do you remember that first time you moved into your own place? The excitement to get all your stuff in, unpack, and start making it your own. That moment when you finally get the keys…priceless We have been through this process many times in our lives and needless to say we expected purchasing and moving abord our new home to be quite similar. BOY, WERE WE WRONG! A possession date for a boat is much different then a house. Especially when the previous owner is 15 time zones away. That’s a 16+ hour difference. We very impatiently waited almost 10 days after releasing the funds before we could get the code to unlock our new home. Now I’m sure that this is the normal processing time, and it wouldn’t have been such a big deal if we didn’t have all the items we possessed pack very tightly into our 1998 Chrysler Town and Country, or the family truckster as we like to call it. But as they say, patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet. It’s funny how one moment in your life can feel like an eternity. How that one single thing can weigh down on you and feel all-encompassing that you lose sight of the bigger picture. The lesson learned from this experience. We almost missed this huge exciting moment in our lives because we got lost in details. We are working very hard to not let this happen again… We are now on our new to us floating home and the games are just beginning. As we are removing the old owner and making it ours and all those feeling of excitement and anticipation are finally here. Salut les loulous ⛵ Le traitement antirouille du dessous de quille étais nécessaire avant l'hiver car dégradé par le temps la rouille s'installe doucement . Je vous fais voir quel type de produit j'utilise pour cela . Le RUSTOL CIP de chez OWATROL est parfaitement adapté au voilier acier et tout ce qui est métallique ( quille , pont , coque etc...) . Ce n'est pas un placement de produit ou un partenariat juste une info sur le sujet . Un tour d'horizon rapide sur l'avancement de la peinture intérieure . Puis la transformation de la table extérieure avec la peinture au pistolet . Bon visionnage à tous .

Cette semaine était consacrée aux travaux sur le bateau. Et oui, voyager en voilier n'est pas souvent synonyme de vacances ou de farniente. Les journées sont plutôt bien remplies. Avec l'aide de bateaux copains, nous avons remplacé l'axe qui tenait l'étai de génois. Il s'était cassé sans que l'on s'en aperçoive tout de suite et ça aurait pu avoir des conséquences importantes avec un risque de démâtage. L'opération délicate s'est bien passée et nous allons pouvoir repartir un peu en navigation puisque plusieurs petites choses ont été reprises à bord comme la vérification du secteur de barre, le dessalinisateur, le conduit d'aération de la cale moteur, le remplacement de la latte de grand-voile qui était cassée.
