Plitviče Lakes National Park is a 295-sq.-km forest reserve in central Croatia. It's known for a chain of 16 terraced lakes, joined by waterfalls, that extend into a limestone canyon. Walkways and hiking trails wind around and across the water, and an electric boat links the 12 upper and 4 lower lakes. The latter are the site of Veliki Slap, a 78m-high waterfall.

Στις 5/1/1978 το φορτηγό πλοίο "ΚΥΡΑ ΛΕΝΗ" απέπλευσε από το Λαύριο με προορισμό τη Βουλγαρία. Την επόμενη μέρα, ενώ περνούσε από το Κάβο Ντόρο, ο καιρός επιδεινώθηκε και ο καπετάνιος αποφάσισε να καταφύγει στον κοντινότερο κόλπο, μετά από προσπάθειες να αγκυροβολήσει στο νότιο υπήνεμο τμήμα της βραχονησίδας Πάτροκλος, λόγω των ισχυρών ανέμων που επικρατούσαν, προσέκρουσε με την αριστερή του πλευρά στα βράχια και βυθίστηκε. Όλοι οι επιβάτες κατάφεραν να βγουν στην στεριά σώοι.Το ναυάγιο βρίσκεται κομμένο σε δύο μέρη. Το κομμάτι της πρύμης είναι όρθιο με αριστερή κλήση, ενώ το υπόλοιπο της πλώρης από το ναυάγιο βρίσκεται με την αριστερή πλευρά του στο βυθό. Η πλώρη του είναι σε βάθος 17 μέτρων και η πρύμνη σε βάθος 30 μέτρων, με όλο το ενδιάμεσο τμήμα του να είναι σκόρπιες λαμαρίνες μιας και το πλοίο είχε ξεκινήσει να κόβετε για σκραπ. Η πρόσβαση στην περιοχή του ναυαγίου γίνεται μόνο με σκάφος. Cargo ship Kyra Leni sunk in 1978 next to Patroklos island due to bad weather and in the process to find safe anchorage. Today its one of the favourite dive sites for many divers since the shallow depth and the relatively intact bow and stern parts of the ship allow for a relaxing wreck dive. The bow is situated at 18 meters depth whilst the stern at a depth of approximately 30 meters. In between various parts of the wreck are scattered on the seabed and the dive can continue with a nice wall dive. En décembre 2021, après des années de préparation, nous voilà dans le village de Djirnda au Saloum pour déployer une médiathèque numérique Ideas Cube au collège-lycée. C'est avec émotion qu'on vous raconte enfin nos actions, nos rencontres et nos découvertes si riches sur place ! We wait out a thunderstorm in Sicily, then set sail for Sardinia. And soon we have to start the engine. Absolute calm. And 160 nautical miles lie ahead of us. The night is deep black, a fabulous starry sky shines above us. New moon. The mirror-smooth sea is almost ghostly. In Sardinia, wonderful bays await us, white sand, turquoise water, cliffs and an enormous swell in the bays. The Dilly-Dally at anchor is reminiscent of a ship's swing on Hamburg's Dom. But that's complaining at a high level. Sardinia is wonderful!
