We decommission our electric pump-out toilet and replace it with a separating toilet, often called a composting toilet. Why would we do this? What was wrong with our old loo? At £25 a pump-out every four weeks, and a lack of pump-out facilities on the canal network, a separating toilet offers us complete freedom. Friends, Screwing Around, Propeller, Double Wall, Reverse Cycle Air Conditioner and More Hello everyone and big hugs and kisses to our subscribers. Many of you have been with us for a very long time and all of you help to keep our boat afloat. Viewers, we’re so thrilled you watched our latest video and would love for you to join us by hitting that subscribe button so our channel can continue to grow. The salon has a recessed area where Isabella’s electrical panels and other instruments are located. There is a removeable African Mahogany wall that did not completely seal off from the engine room. Steve built a birch wall to seal off that area and then reinstalled the original wall. The double wall protects that area from any heat and smell that comes from the engine room. We were lucky enough to have our friends visit for a couple of days as they had cruised down from the north. It was party time, catching up while enjoying good food and spirits and exploring some sights. Messing around with them was fun! Our aft rear reverse cycle air conditioner broke and the unit is no longer putting out warm air. Burrrrrr. To get to the unit, we had to remove everything that was in the aft sail locker. At the bottom of the locker was Isabella’s old propeller. Karen is going to clean it up; another project…It’s quite a deep locker making access difficult. Steve started to build a step to be installed which will make getting in and out of the sail locker easier. Plant update: basil is doing great, dill...not so much. Karen still has hopes that it will continue to grow. 🤞Trying to expand our indoor herb garden, we have now planted scallions. This week, we tackle the massive job of finally fully welding the roof and adding much-needed reinforcement. Watch as we cut, fit, and weld all the new aluminum stringers (reusing leftover materials to save costs!), making the deck-saloon roof solid and strong enough for whatever we need to do on top! We are Duca and Roberta, a Brazilian couple that during a sabbatical trip in 2016 decided to follow our dream. So, we created "Odd Life Crafting", a project composed of many smaller projects that we call seasons. The first one was the creation of Odd Life Crafting. The idea was to build a metal boat to be able to travel the world taking our house with us, but we didn't have money for that. So, we started the next season: we built a tiny shipping container house with no prior experience in building to gain some skills to build a boat. When we were almost finished we found a boat 700km away from our hometown that was neglected for over 22 years and we spent 2 years refitting her (Season 3). On the season 4 we sailed for 2 years (exploring the Brazilian coast and part of the Caribbean), we sold our boat and we moved to Europe. The last season we are starting to build a new aluminum 43ft sailboat and a new life. We hope to inspire others to follow their dreams. Bonjour les voyageurs !. Dans cet épisode nous continuons notre route vers le nord de la Norvège. Après avoir croisé à nouveau la route de quelques rennes domestiques, un moment toujours magique, nous apercevons enfin notre tout premier elan, surgissant entre les arbres avant de disparaitre aussi vite qu'il est apparu. En avançant, nous franchissons le cercle polaire arctique, où le paysage se transforme en un décor presque lunaire, fait de roches nues, de lumière vive d'immensité silencieuse. Notre voyage se poursuit jusqu à Bodo, où nous embarquons à bord du ferry en direction de Vaeroy, petite île isolée servant d'étape avant notre traversée vers les Lofoten Accroche toi.... Dans cet épisode, tu vas nous suivre à travers des paysages variés, parfois étranges, mais toujours époustouflants.

This weekend we sailed from Rebak island Langkawi, to Singa Besar dropped anchor between a dozen other boats, and spent two full days doing what sailors do best: ✨ cooking on the famous Yachty-built brick BBQ ✨ cliff jumping, swimming, exploring the island ✨ meeting friends, sharing drinks, telling stories ✨ keeping the monkeys away (barely 😂) ✨ singing, dancing, and watching the sunset from the boats Singa Besar has become one of the best sailing traditions in Malaysia — and after this video, you’ll see exactly why.
