Hiring a skipper for a sailing vacation can be a wise decision for many reasons. First and foremost, a skipper brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the sailing excursion. They have the skills and expertise needed to navigate unfamiliar waters, anticipate and respond to changing weather conditions, and handle any unexpected situations that may arise. This can make for a safer and more enjoyable sailing experience. Additionally, having a skipper onboard allows for a more relaxed and stress-free vacation. Rather than worrying about navigation and sailing, you can sit back and enjoy the journey. A skipper can also provide guidance on local attractions, restaurants, and activities, making for a more culturally enriched vacation experience. For those who are new to sailing, a skipper can provide valuable training and instruction. They can teach the basics of sailing, such as how to properly trim sails, steer the boat, and navigate using charts and GPS. This can be a valuable learning experience, allowing you to gain confidence and experience in the world of sailing. Finally, hiring a skipper can also be beneficial for those who want to enjoy a sailing vacation without the added responsibility of owning and maintaining a boat. A skippered charter provides all the benefits of a private yacht, without the added stress and cost of ownership. In summary, hiring a skipper for a sailing vacation can be a smart choice for many reasons. From increased safety and relaxation to valuable training and cultural enrichment, a skipper can help you make the most of your sailing adventure. Plan your next getaway today at www.sunsail.com. Sunsail, a premium yacht charter brand within Travelopia, one of the world’s leading specialist travel groups, combines exceptional value vacations with a cutting-edge fleet of 500 yachts in over 20 of the best cruising destinations worldwide. Summer is just around the corner, unless in Florida, heat is already starting to creep up. There's nothing getting to your ride, cranking on the A/C and Nothing. Luckily, you can keep your cool and charge your car's A/C like a pro with these simple tips. Not only will you be able to enjoy a refreshing drive, but you'll also save money by avoiding a trip to the mechanic. Chilling Out in Style: Charge Your Car A/C Like a Pro! The first step before just adding Freon to your car's A/C is to check the condenser located in front of your radiator. If this is clogged with bugs, dirt, or just bagged up to bad it will cause the car 's A/C not to cool. If it just needs to be cleaned great, spray it down with a hose and go for a ride. Now if the condenser is damage you may have to seek a professional. If the above doesn't solve your issue, order Freon kit here to complete the next steps. https://amzn.to/40918Uj Make you get the ride Freon for your A/C system, most newer cars use R124a. Next, locate the low-pressure port, which is usually located near the compressor running to the firewall. Remove the cap and attach the charging hose to the port. You then need to start the car to see the psi on the low pressure side. If the gauge shows in the green, you are great, don't add anymore. If below the green, add Freon until you are in the green, there is no need to take it to were the green meets the yellow. Congratulations, you just charged your car's A/C like a pro! Most of the products you can buy like A/C Pro have an additive that will help repair any small leaks you have in the system. They will not repair a system the is leaking like a sift. Also if the meter when connected with the car running is in the yellow or red, probably going to have to seek a professional. Cool Tips for a Refreshing Drive: Keep Your Car A/C in Top Shape! To keep your car's A/C in top shape, it's important to use it regularly, even in the winter months. This will prevent the compressor from seizing up and keep the seals lubricated. Additionally, it's important to replace the cabin air filter regularly to keep the air flowing smoothly through the system. Another tip is to park in the shade whenever possible. This will prevent the interior of your car from heating up too much, which can put a strain on the A/C system. If you don't have access to shade, consider using a sunshade or tinted windows to help keep the heat out. Lastly, if you notice any strange noises or odors coming from your A/C system, it's important to have it checked by a professional. Ignoring these signs could lead to more costly repairs down the road. By following these tips, you can keep your car's A/C running smoothly and enjoy a refreshing drive all summer long. Remember to check the refrigerant levels regularly and use your A/C system year-round to prevent any issues from arising. With a little bit of effort, you can be a pro at charging your car's A/C and staying cool in style. 📢 Our Website: https://www.chrisdoeswhat.com/ 📢 See Our Recipes: https://www.dininginwithdanielle.com Tools In The Garage: 🛠 Milwaukee 18-Volt Drill and Impact Driver Kit https://amzn.to/366BwxM 🛠 Husky Mechanics Tool Set https://amzn.to/3kuGUzD 🛠 Angle Grinder https://amzn.to/36FaC09 🛠 Forney Easy Weld Welder https://amzn.to/3romDR1 🛠 Welding Helmet https://amzn.to/3wOq58z What We Us In The Kitchen: 🍽 KitchenAid https://amzn.to/3x0T8JY 🍽 Roasting Pans https://amzn.to/3jahTLq 🍽 Cooking Sheet https://amzn.to/3JcEa5O 🍽 Kitchen Utensils Set https://amzn.to/3Kg9xOg 🍽Cutting Boards https://amzn.to/3KhzdKw 🍽 Kitchen Knives https://amzn.to/36USV0d 🍽 Kitchen Oven Safe Pans https://amzn.to/3DGkfuY 💎 Have a Website? In 2022, the area was declared a protected marine reserve of 1.5 million hectares, the largest natural park in Southeast Asia. ** NOW SOLD ** Barracuda is a Ronautica 400 by Barracuda Yacht Design, Spain. Launched in 2004, this is undeniably a head turning performance cruiser. Chosen in the performance fit out, this example features the triple spreader rig and deep lead keel. The traveler is in the cockpit for ultimate control and there are the full six winches with German main system. Main and jib are 3Di by Norths plus there are both asymmetric and symmetrical kites. Barracuda is a rewarding and extremely fun yacht to sail. She is currently set up in performance mode and is designed to also function in a cruise set up – the main can be rigged on the coach roof and the large cockpit table could be installed. Down below is a comfortable full cruise fit out with three private cabins (one currently is set up for storage) plus two heads, a practical galley with large refrigeration, and a seriously comfy saloon (the table lowers for additional berths or a day bed for those chilled days on the water). The cockpit is massive and puts similar vessels on this length to shame (both racers and cruisers!). All the cockpit teak was laid brand new in just 2022 and looks stunning. The hull was fully stripped back and soda blasted, re-epoxied and painted in just 2020. She was re-rigging in 2015 by Diverse Rigging. Barracuda has just been engine serviced in March 2023 and was last anti-fouled in Feb 2022. This is the ultimate cross over for someone who wants to sail properly while having absolute cruisability.
In this episode, we solo sail to White Cove, Catalina Island. This is a bit of a mini-shakedown cruise: 1/ v-drive was leaking fluid and serviced under warranty 2/ new windlass was installed in Ensenada, Mexico, but has not been tested. 3/ additional testing of LiFePO4 batteries, along with Sterling 120A DC to DC charger 4/ testing of engine / fuel delivery after fuel lines cleared and diesel tank polishing Keeldragger tracker: https://forecast.predictwind.com/tracking/display/SV_Keeldragger/ Youtube: @keeldragger Instagram: @keeldragger
This episode begins with our tour around Bay St. Louis, we get some fantastic spinnaker sailing back to Gulfport! We get temporarily out of commission due to a fuel tank malfunction and ends with prepping to sail out to Ship Island and sailing aboard our Friend Jim King's 40' Catalina - Kashmir while I take my ASA101... This will probably be a series of four or five short episodes. Royalty Free Music includes: bensound-jazyfrenchy bensound-accousticbreeze

Trouble is- we were in a pandemic, had a university degree to finish, on a student budget, only had ever sailed dingies, oh and didn’t have a boat. The dream seemed not only unrealistic but pretty insane. However, we worked hard, finished our degrees, worked as many hours as physically possible, saved with all our might, got experience and in March 2022 bought our very own sailboat, Teulu. Having little sailing experience and being a young couple, we have encountered a tonne of hurdles and made plenty of mistakes! but for every downfall, there has always been a reason to dust ourselves off and carry on. Denied Entry After Sailing 8 days and Accused of Stealing our own boat...After the toughest, scariest sail yet we finally made it to Guatemala! Our friends who were just here@BeauAndBrandy give us some tips to make it over the sandbar. Now we wish we could say it’s “smooth sailing” from here… but that’s definitely not the case. For any passage there’s hundreds of things to prepare and we missed one, a big one! This is only our second time sailing to another country and we definitely made a rookie mistake. Consider this lesson learned. Oh and because we were missing paperwork, they accused us of potentially having stolen Eva. We didn't break out the rebuild videos to show that our blood sweat and tears are literally in her core, but we were tempted! Thanks for hanging on through this trial of an episode. We were EXTREMELY hesitant to even post it. We know we are opening ourselves up to a heap of criticism, but we think it's important to show some of the bad that comes with all the good of this lifestyle. Mistakes happen, but I can promise you that at least this specific mistake, will never, ever, happen again. Love you all! Episode #285 : Season 9 : The South Pacific Hello Friends, This is an episode that I filmed during my passage between Bora Bora and American Samoa and is meant to explain some of the details of passage making. I talk about everything from the cabin layout for passages to sail plan set up to fishing underway. I hope this special episode sheds some light on details that often end up on the cutting room floor on the regular passage films. During his time away from work, Jamie lived on board and cruised South East Asia. One of his life dreams is to sail around the world. His plans came together at the end of 2018 when he met a Filipina lounge singer in China. Princess was yearning for a vacation since she had been working many years to support her family. Finally, her siblings got their own jobs and she decided to join Jamie on Jupiter² and go sailing. It was a wild decision for her because she had never sailed before. For the first time, they sail for two weeks around Phuket, Thailand. She began to see what Jamie love about the sea. They both resigned from their jobs in early 2019 and began cruising full time. Hopefully some inspiration to "Quit Job and Go Sailing". This week has been so busy, but so much fun! The Croatian islands are absolutely stunning, the sailing is perfect with flat sheltered seas and good sailing winds, we find tranquil anchorages and deserted beaches to explore. My (Nicky) ankle is still badly injured and causing me a lot of pain and general disruption to our sailing life, it is not easy sailing all day when you can't stand on both you legs for long! We were going to head to Zadar for an Xray, but its out of our way and more disruption to our plans, so we decide to sail past and seek medical help later from Split, but in the mean time we try and enjoy all the fabulous new islands we visit and get ready for Bears birthday! Thank you to our wonderful patrons, you are really helping to make all this possible! Don't forget to pop over to Patreon to watch all the extra footage, and get all our episodes a week early. We are really enjoying this life and sharing everything with you it's been wonderful . Thank you very much, you guys are amazing supporting us with your likes and comments, we really feel that we have a new family out there. Much love Carla & Simon A little bit about us... We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

Usually racing on the 44Cup between the high performance owner-driver one designs is tight with ties or just single points separating the leaders. At the 44Cup Oman, opening event of the 2023 season and hosted out of Muscat’s Al Mouj Marina by Oman Sail, perhaps due to the strong conditions of the first three days, the leaderboard was clearly defined going into the final day with Nico Poons’ Charisma seven points clear of Igor Lah’s Team Ceeref powered by Hrastnik 1860, in turn eight ahead of John Bassadone’s Peninsula Racing. Unlike the previous three days when conditions built to 20 knots with a vicious short sea, today racing took place in light 5-8 knots, more typical of the Omani venue. Fortunately the wind held, enabling PRO Maria Torrijo to complete the full racing schedule.
