In this episode we enjoy Playa Venao. The jungle, the beach and the people. Unfortunately a big accident at night brings a stop to all the happyness. Happily Jip did not get knocked out overboard but has another day to tell the story. Boatlife to us is the most amazing lifestyle there is but accidents like these make us realize that when something happens on water it is often more deadly than on land. Hope you enjoy this episode and share our channel with your adventure friends because this fish story is going to be crazier then your mind can imagine!! And please if you like this vlog, hit that SUBSCRIBE button. And you can ask us everything in the comments, we will reply to every single one. And don't forget to check out our other sailing videos. Enjoy, Big hug, Jip and Andries

After five hours of enjoyable light-air sailing, I decided to beach the boat in a cove and take a lunch break. Then a lightning storm rolled in and I had to race back to the marina. #sailing #Precision18 #MountainSailing #LakeSailing

Almost nobody knows Dominica. That makes this caribbean island an "insider tip". Half of Dominica is supposed to be rainforest, jungle. There are active volcanoes. Steep mountains. And a trail. You can walk the entire island yourself. This is my outdoor project: I will bushwalk Dominica's jungle. First I buy a hammock. I want to sleep outside. Then I do test hikes. And finally I set off in the south of the country. I come along Freshwater Lake, Desolation Valley, Boiling Lake, Scotts Head, Middleham Falls, Emerald Pools. There is farmland with bananas, mangos, coconuts. And jungle without end. What a world! See more sea: https://reykja.ch

In this episode we are unbelievably lucky to get our hands on an identical second hand radar as the broken one. What’s the odds for that? We are also celebrating Gee’s birthday and having fun with our beautiful neighbors. One step closer for the canal crossing and lots of good help from Gee now as she’s back onboard again. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBING! You can also follow sailing with Thomas on other platforms for almost daily updated pics and videos, and even find yourself a new T-Shirt: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sailingwiththomas Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sailingwiththomas Shop: https://sailingwiththomascom.wpcomstaging.com/shop/ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Sailingwiththomas ABOUT THIS CHANNEL: I`m sailing around the world in my Bavaria 55 Cruiser, making videos whenever I have time for it. Most of the time I sail singlehanded but occasionally I do have sailing friends onboard. Still in the Caribbean due to Covid and was supposed to be in Asia by now. Even though this is season 5 on youtube I did not make that many videos in the beginning. Before full-time sailing, I have sailed several seasons in the Med prior to this, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I have been traveling the world before and have also been an active regatta sailor. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and have been sailing ever since. Also, more than 10 years of experience in Search and Rescue at sea in Norway. PLEASE BE KIND IN THE COMMENTS! I'm just a normal person sharing my travel adventure through my eyes and experience from my perspective! Remember how I do things that might work for me but not for you. It might even not be the correct way to do things, and I don't have the blueprint either. I'm not perfect and nobody is. The day I believe I know it all and don't think I can learn new things I should go ashore.

In this episode we are in Bocas Del Toro, Panama. a place that we have grown to love a lot! We get in a routine with school and work in the morning and play in the afternoon which at this location consisted of surf, surf and more surf! It was a real treat to be able to anchor in a convenient spot and take the dinghy to the surf each day. I also give you a brief insight into how we homeschool onboard. We are studying Botany using https://gatherroundhomeschool.com/ which is such a helpful system, enabling me to teach all the kids together. Join us for a couple of experiments. We also tackle a couple of random little boat jobs in between and take a lovely walk around Isla Carenero. We hope you enjoy this taste of life onboard and feel inspired to change up your days too. We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

Season 2 on Little Bird starts in Florida as we make our way down through the Exumas towards Long Island. Our pup, Yogi the Waterdog hasn't been much for the water, but seems to be taking to the warmer Bahama waters. Dale and Suzie join for the trip, and we do roadtrips in Georgetown and Long Island. We also go through the boat's new Starlink installation -- a goofy temporary setup, but it worked. Subscribe! Get notifications of new YouTube videos: https://www.youtube.com/c/SailingLittleBird?sub_confirmation=1 Updates on Social: https://www.instagram.com/svlittlebird/ https://www.facebook.com/svlittlebird Little Bird is named in honor of Cecilia Rose. If you enjoy this video, please consider making a tax deductible donation to a great cause at: https://mpssociety.org/give/ We're Tif and Frank. In a significant act of vanity, we're making YouTube video of our sailing exploits. In 2021, we sailed our Balance 526 Catamaran from Cape Saint Francis, South Africa to the island of Grenada in the Caribbean on a 30 day passage. Since then, we've been sailing up the islands exploring beautiful anchorages and meeting great people. Over the next few years, we'll be sailing through the Bahamas, San Blas, Panama, and across the Pacific. With any luck, eventually we'll sail around the world. We're from Santa Cruz, California and grew up in and around the water. This is our third catamaran (we also had a Seawind 1000 and Catana 431) and eight boat (fishing boats, monohulls... boats tend to take over sometime!). We love fishing, stand-up paddle boarding, surfing and Tif has a yoga and workout addiction. It has been fun to learn to wingfoil, perfect our snorkeling skills, and watch others kitesurf (maybe someday we'll give it a try). #svlittlebird #bahamas #exumas #balance526 #starlink #starlinkonboats #balancecatamarans #nexusyachts #sailing #travel #boatlife #sailinglife #catamaran

We break down all of the things we love about our catamaran, Gemini 105MC, and all of the things we wish we knew when we were buying our catamaran that may have kept us from wanting to sell our boat. These are some key things to think about when you are searching to buy your own sailboat. We love our sailboat but wish we would have taken the plunge and future proofed our sailing options. Now that we have decided to sail full-time we wish we had a more capable Bluewater sailboat. I would still go multihull over monohull but I see the pros and cons! Let us know what you think in the comments.

11th Hour Racing Team have not had an easy Leg 3, with multiple problems that needed fixing since the start. From broken batten tips, to damaged rudders, a torn mainsail and a crack in the hull of the boat. With a particularly solid aluminum hull and deck, and a cutter rig that is easy to control, the Exploration 60 is an integral dinghy built for the high seas. Her generous dimensions allow for an unprecedented combination of refined living spaces, technical areas and storage volumes, making it possible to envisage going even further, even longer... with or without a crew.

Since 1896, HX has led mindful expeditions to the world’s most extraordinary places. Today, we continue that legacy, taking curious adventurers to iconic destinations like Antarctica, Galápagos, Greenland and aboard our modern expedition ships.
