Grosse journée à l’ACHM de Mayotte (Association des Croiseurs Hauturiers de Mayotte), une grue de 60 tonnes a été spécialement réquisitionnée pour déplacer 13 bateaux, et effectuer 2 matages. Tout le monde met la main à la pâte. Levage des bateaux, derniers petites retouches d’antifooling, et contrôles divers, et hop dans l’eau. Puis la valse continue avec les bateaux à sortir et positionner sur le terre plein. Et tout ça jusque à tard dans la nuit. Corinne fabrique une protection de l’antenne Starlink avec du Sumbrella. La pompe de gavage du dessalinisateur est enfin arrivée, et c’est le moment de la remonter et la tester. Et finalement on s’attaque à un gros nettoyage de la coque, afin de garantir le maximum de glisse lors de notre grand voyage en direction de Madagascar. Nous expliquerons pourquoi il est une menace et vous apprendrez également l’équipement nécessaire pour le pêcher, notamment en utilisant un sling ou un harpon. Vous découvrirez nos techniques de pêche pour capturer ce poisson, ainsi que les précautions à prendre pour éviter les piqûres de ses épines venimeuses. Ensuite, vous allez voir exactement comment nous le préparons pour le déguster. Ce poisson est délicieux et il est considéré comme une délicatesse dans certaines régions du monde ! Recette de ceviche aux poissons-lions : - 3 poissons-lions et plus - ½ tasse de jus de lime - 1 lime complète + zeste - ½ mangue - ¼ tasse de poivron rouge - 3 oignons verts (échalotes) - 2 c. à soupe d’huile - Quelques gouttes de tabasco - Herbes fraîches : Coriande ou persil - 2 c. à soupe de Vodka 1. Dans un bol (ou ziplock), déposer le poisson et l’arroser de jus de lime. Laisser reposer minimum 30 minutes au réfrigérateur, en remuant de temps en temps. 2. Égoutté. 3. Salut les loulous ⛵🛠️ Je fini de poser mes pompes de cale et j'en profite pour traiter les piquages et tubes d'évacuation du cockpit . 40 ans après il est temps de le faire . Le plancher bois de la cuisine étant fini je passe un coup de peinture dessus pour le protéger . Finalmente lasciamo Vuda Marina e ci dirigiamo verso l'ancoraggio di Musket Cove, Isola di Malolo, arcipelago delle Mamanuca. Siamo stanchi, vogliamo godere della tranquillità di questa rada per riposare e aspettare la meteo giusta prima di dirigerci verso l'isola di Vanua Levu e poi alle Lau. Nel frattempo mettiamo a punto gli ultimi dettagli a bordo. Durante la navigazione verso Malolo, per non farci mancare nulla, la bussola elettronica impazzisce, così, una volta giunti a destinazione, eccoci a rismontare la cabina di poppa per installare la bussola nuova. Alla faccia del riposo! 😉 Poi mettiamo in acqua il nostro dinghy "1K" e lo "rimontiamo" per benino. We are Kathrin and Daniel. We sail, cruise and live aboard our sailing yacht SV Polaris Helvetica, a Bavaria Cruiser 46 since spriung 2021. We left our native Switzerland and moved to the UK almost two decades ago. In 2021, in our mid 50-ies, after our three boys left the nest we made a big decision. We left the rat race in London behind and made our beloved Polaris our primary floating home. Over the years we have added many upgrades to Polaris. We got rid of the standard propane gas cooker and replaced it with an electric cooker and oven. We fitted a generator and changed to a lithium (LiFePo) house battery bank. We added a 1'200W solar arch and a water maker. We added an inner forestay for a working jib and a storm sail. With all these upgrades Polaris is now a comfortable live aboard yacht. We sail her along Scotland's beautiful coastline and we live on her summer and winter. Kathrin loves cooking and baking on board. You will see some of her cookery wonders across our episodes. We completely fell in love with our new lifestyle although we had to make some tough decisions. We vacated our rented house in London and sold or gave away all our belongings that had no space on Polaris. What a very liberating feeling to be able to say that all we own is with us on our small sailing boat. There's nothing else to care about. We enjoy our new freedom.
